Just gave the new Gang of Youths record another spin and hot damn these guys are going to kill it on the Yeti. Music that's meant to be played live.
(sidenote: the singer definitely sounds like Matt Berninger on some tracks)

One of my favourite finds on the lineup.

Gang of Youths, White Reaper, Alex Lahey, Japandroids, Jeff Rosenstock, and PUP all represent that uplifting underdog bouncy rock that made the mid to late 2000s so fun, which is a style sadly forgotten on so many lineups this year. Feeling really grateful for how many exhilarating rock bands are playing Sasquatch this year, even if the headliners aren't exactly known for their bangers.

Every year there is one band I've never heard of who end up taking a big place in my heart, this is it's Gang of Youths

Listening to Sango's recent album "In The Comfort Of" again and getting real excited for his set. Interesting he'll be on the Yeti, since he's generally toured as a DJ. Also a tough conflict with JLin, but definitely worth a stop by. He throws a lot of South American flavor into his music, and his full length I mentioned was a big step forward for him music-wise. Heard someone describe his music as "Sango takes your emotions out to dinner, pays for everything, drops them off on time, and leaves them wanting more." His most recent Boiler Room set was absolute fire (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPDlzUQH0Fo)

Hey, Anderson .Paak put out a new song today! I'll edit it in here when in a minute. Edit: This track is bonkers and I'm getting the feeling that his set is going to be so damn high energy based on both of his newest tracks. itunes.apple.com/us/album/bubblin-single/1383381572

HI I'M EXCITED FOR THIS jai wolf is one of the most fun dance parties I've been to (though this song is mellow). I'm on page 7 out of 81 of this board so I'm not sure if anyone has acknowledged this but I'm so excited for Jai Wolf!!! He always throws down and him starting with his remix of With You x Dirty South never gets old, and gives me all the feels. Ah I am so excited.

As far as Odesza clones go, Jai Wolf puts on a much better set than Petit Biscuit does.

But I did see Jai Wolf and I was split on how much I liked it. He didn't play much original material, mostly just electronic bangers (which is not necessarily bad). That was two years ago though, so it may be different. Also, I know Petit Biscuit isn't simply playing his songs on CDJs (like Jai Wolf does) and uses a couple pieces of equipment + plays instruments for a couple of his songs.

What I was actually implying is that Petit Biscuit is god awful live. The one time I saw Jai Wolf live it was much more streamlined and coherent than the miserable pandering Petit Biscuit does to 16 year olds on molly for their first time.
That said, I'll never go out of my way to see Jai Wolf again either. Not really my thing.
