Glass Animals have a new album coming out and I expect them to be hitting the festival circuit hard next year. I'd say a Sasquatch appearance is a near certainty. I'm pretty sure more people were at their set in the dance tent last year than the Decemberists' overlapping set on the main stage. I don't know how their popularity is tracking, but if their new album produces a bigger hit than "Gooey," they could end up subheadlining the main stage like Foster the People in 2014. Although, they haven't yet sold out their October show at the Schnitz in Portland (capacity 2,776), so maybe they aren't overwhelming popular. I would be curious to see if that number takes a spike now that the album is out. I'm not sure I had many expectations of it, but after my fourth listen this is a great step forward in expanding their tribal sound. I would be incredibly pleased to see Glass Animals make a return on a more suitable stage next year, and I think it's more than plausible.

Angel Olsen announced shows in Portland and Seattle on February 17 & 18. Despite those dates being near the imaginary Santa Clause, if she tours through the spring, I could see her making her way back to Sasquatch.

I'm thinking American Football is a definite possibility. They've got a new album coming out late October and I'm assuming will be doing a tour once it's released. Also, Michael Kiwanuka came out with a great new album in August and is playing in Seattle in December. I feel as though he is a good fit for Sasquatch and he seems (at least to me) to be an act that Adam Zacks might book. Also wouldn't be surprised to see Whitney and or Young the Giant on the booking.

Michael Kiwanuka is in fact an artist that Snacks did book in 2013, so I think you could be onto something there.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, sub-headliner? Or are they once of those acts that would sub other festivals but Snacks books as a headliner because he loves them so much?
Also, Justice just announced a new album coming soon. I think they are a pretty obvious booking for next year.

I think the best comparison to Nick Cave at recent Sasquatches is Elvis Costello, and just like Elvis Costello, I think the only way Nick Cave plays Sasquatch is if he subs before a huge, kid-friendly headliner (Mumford & Sons in Elvis' case). Despite having played Coachella three times, Justice has never played Sasquatch, which makes me think Mr. Zacks doesn't view them as a Sasquatch artist. Of course, the definition of Sasquatch artist has changed, and I think Justice are a perfectly acceptable "electronic" headliner.

Ugh, that crowd for Elvis Costello was such garbage. Maybe ten people there for him, everyone else yammering away waiting for Mumsons.

Gorillaz are updating all of their media platforms and it's been rumored that their next LP comes out early next year. Think Sasquatch could grab that? I think that alone would sell me on going next year.

Gorillaz- This one seems the most unlikely of these artists, but I could see them headlining behind a new album. I think that alone would sell me on going next year. Maybe.

I can't see Nick Cave on the top of the poster. Subbing if he's lucky. What kind of shit is this? Nick cave headlined Primavera and sub-headlined Coachella. Now he'd be lucky to land similar billings at a smaller festival? He shouldn't be there either way. Nick Cave headlining Sasquatch would be like Opeth headlining Paradiso.

Primavera and Coachella don't seem to suffer when a niche headliner is on the bill. Sasquatch just had one of the most legendary bands still touring on the top of their lineup and they flopped harder than ever. Nick Cave would almost definitely sub if he ever played Sasquatch, but I don't think he would ever play Sasquatch. Maybe if Opeth was headlining though. I heard they have a new light show.

I think The Cure would have flopped a little less if they hadn't been a repeat, and they hadn't been among such shitty company.

Nicolas Jaar has an album coming out in a few days and he's going to be touring for it. He's coming to Seattle in October but I feel like that's far enough away from Sasquatch to make him a possibility... edit: Looks like you can stream the album here

Not sure if he's been mentioned yet but Danny Brown has a new album soon and is playing the Neptune next week. He played in 2013 and I think he's due for a sasquatch appearance

He played in 2013 and I think he's due for a sasquatch appearance Album came out early today on Spotify and this is some of my favorite work from this year so far. I hope he returns because he was caught wandering around drunk/high looking for food and that makes me love him and his music that much more. So yes, hopefully he returns.

Also as long as we're speculating rampantly, I'll say Blood Orange. Maybe this belongs in the wishlist thread but it seems like something that could happen.

In general, most Sasquatch alumni promoting new albums are possible. There are some exceptions like Arcade Fire and Kings of Leon, but artists like Danny Brown, Hiss Golden Messenger, and Sleigh Bells are definitely possible.
