I like making zucchini pancakes. Sort of like latkes, but... with zucchini. You grate up zucchini and add some flour and eggs and then put some oil in a pan and fry it. I eat them with sour cream and cheese, but they're not bad plain either.

When I was back on the east coast visiting some friends, I got to be a guest character in their Buffy the Vampire Slayer campaign. I was pleasantly surprised by how terrible it wasn't. It also seemed fairly story driven, but I imagine that if you wanted it to be all about combat you could easily accomplish that. They had a mechanism in the game called Drama points that basically let you do otherwise impossible or at least unlikely things which lends a little more spark to the game and makes for more dynamic combat. My older brothers have always been D&D players so that was pretty much the only tabletop gaming I had played until recently, so the change was pretty interesting.

I really like Blokus, but with all the little translucent pieces it might not be the best game to bring camping.

The TOMS website says you can wash them on a cold gentle cycle in your washing machine. I tried it with mine and it worked pretty well. I think hand washing them is better though. I just use a little bit of laundry detergent and a soft bristle scrub brush and wash mine that way. Sometimes I use a little fabric softener too and it usually gets rid of the smell.

I had a dream that I bought a new tent for Sasquatch that said it was big enough for two people, but when we got there we found out that it was actually a play tent for little kids. We ended up sleeping in the bed of my little truck and trying to use the tent as a blanket. On the second night it flew away so we tried to sleep inside the cab of the truck instead. Then in the morning, I went to get out of the car and I fell and hit my head on a rock. My head split open and blood and leaves came out of it. Then I woke up and wondered why I had driven the truck all that way instead of the Subaru.

Hello, everybody. I too figured I'd introduce myself here first. I've been lurking the boards for a couple of days now and I'm getting so excited about this. It's almost here! So, this is going to be my first camping festival, but I was a girl scout for 9 and a half years, plus my crazy hippy parents and I have been several times, so I like to think I know a thing or two about it. But this is my first time going without "Adult Supervision." hahaha Hopefully it'll all be good anyhow! So I guess I'll introduce myself! My name is Katelyn and I live in San Diego. My fella is flying out here on the 18th and then he and I are going to pack up our stuff and drive up to Washington! Our plan is to camp the whole way up too. I'm hoping it'll go as smoothly as it did this summer; my parents, brother, boyfriend, two dogs and I camped our way across the country when my family moved from Virginia to California.
I'm a little nervous, but I think it's going to be okay!
