What a colossal idiot that guy was. Looks like he got pepper sprayed for good measure at the end of the gif

The grass may be a little damp still on Friday, but there's no more than a 10% chance of rain the whole weekend with highs in the 70s each day. Doesn't get much better than that.

The Primus poster is the one I'm looking forward to most. Sometimes if posters aren't displayed on sasquatchfestival.com you can google for them and I've found a few that way over the years, but it turns up nothing in this case.

I'm heading out hopefully by 7pm tomorrow and planning on not checking this board after tonight until I'm at the festival, because in past years it was full of people posting about leaving up to 12 hours before I was able to go, and I just sat around all day feeling like I was the only person that hadn't left yet. Totally ridiculous I know.

Zacks is a really cool guy, he could just ignore all of us like a lot of people in his position would do, but he chooses to be somewhat involved with the festival-goers and has replied to me every time I tweeted him.

Hopefully they don't decide to be anal about cameras this year. I have a zoom lens camera that I've brought in every day of the festival since 2010 and have never been hassled about it yet. Pretty sure that would kill my mood for a little bit if they refused to let me in with it this time.

Sigh. Don't remind me that I didn't start going until 2008. In addition to missing the Beastie Boys, I missed Arcade Fire, Bjork, Interpol and Spoon. That must have been one hell of a fun weekend.

Something tells me there's more to this story that was conveniently not included. This will be my 6th year and the only people I've ever seen get arrested were asking for it, i.e. trying to sneak onto festival grounds, people that were belligerently drunk inside the venue, starting fights, etc.

Vampire Weekend is billed 5th on the lineup whereas the Lumineers are 8th, so apparently the festival organizers think VW has the larger draw. I'm not sure if any Bigfoot headliner has ever been billed higher than all of the Sasquatch stage sub-headliners. The only reason I can think of as to why they were put on Bigfoot is because they have a 90 minute slot there instead of the Sasquatch sub-head slot which is 75, and since they're headlining they can play beyond their timeslot if they choose to.

Word from Zacks about Vampire Weekend is "they had to switch dates last minute." Makes sense. I'm guessing they were originally scheduled to sub-headline Monday and asked to switch since they have a show in Paris on the 29th. That's probably the only reason the Lumineers have a sub-head slot.

No kidding. Prior to settling down, getting married and having a kid, I went to 3-4 shows a month in Seattle basically seeing anyone that I liked even just a little bit. These days I go to maybe that many shows per year, and Sasquatch has a great way of knocking out a lot of the bands on my list that I would have wanted to see at their own headlining sets.

I'm not sure if it's new or I missed it before, but the poster for Bloc Party is pretty awesome as well. I think I'm up to 6 that I want now, ugh.
edit: snagged posters for Bloc Party and Sigur Ros, those are the only ones I was able to purchase so far.

One of my favorite songs of the year from one of my top 5 most anticipated Sasquatch bands. Hopefully won't be a shitload of people at their set since it's at 1:25 on Monday.

so ive also heard lately that some of the camping spots are about an hour walk away from the festival...which would kinda be horrible. would you guys say that if i showed up at maaaybee like 5o clock on THURSDAY, i would be safe from making that hour long journey every day? or do alot of people arrive early thursday? The best campsites go to people who know how to use their shift key. You're fucked. Thanks for making me spit out my drink, buddy. The only year I was in general way back in 2008, I was camped near the back end of the campground and it was maybe a 25 minute walk each way. Maybe an hour if you're on crutches or something.

Who wants to be the dick and ask Snacks on twitter what the deal with that stage placement is? Somebody needs to take one for the team. I meant to tweet him about that a while back. Done.

Should be the largest Bigfoot crowd in Sasquatch history for Vampire Weekend because they're a band that definitely does not belong there. They're easily bigger than all of the Sasquatch stage sub-headliners.

He won them but already has some, and is performing a very selfless act by giving them away instead of selling his originals for face value. If I'm being honest, I probably wouldn't do the same. If I wasn't stressing about money right now I'd totally give away tickets that I won, but I haven't been getting a lot of hours at work recently and could really use the cash to pay for my ticket plus the unpaid time off that I'm taking.

Okay well I was feeling kinda unsure about my choice to see Akron/Family after I didn't get into them as much as I anticipated, and that Holy Ghost! song is great. I'm thinking I'll head to see them after Bloc Party now. It'll mean one less stage change for me on Saturday since I was planning on seeing Devendra Banhart on the Bigfoot, which is right after Holy Ghost.
edit: ah shit I had the order wrong and Holy Ghost! starts before Bloc Party. I guess I'll be seeing part of Holy Ghost! then and heading down for Bloc Party.

I selfishly hope that Macklemore saves all the songs that I like for after I make my way over when Vampire Weekend is done. Somebody else had said that Macklemore is probably going to have the most energetic set/crowd of the entire weekend and I fully agree. If I know what he's like at all, he'll be wanting to put on an incredible show for his home state festival and everyone in the crowd will be full of energy on the first night.

To be honest I hadn't even heard of Alt-J until the lineup announcement. I have it in my head that most people going this year will see the Lumineers on the schedule and not even consider Alt-J. They're getting significant radio exposure now and I hope it isn't ridiculously packed for their set.
