Do we set our lineup once a week, or do we make daily changes?

So who are Vinegar Strokes, Hejda's Gonna Hate, Canucks Team's Team, and bluenotes?

Vinegar Strokes is a friend of Rusty's. The others were used to fill out the league once it became apparent we weren't going to have even numbers going in to the draft.

So I come to find out that one of my auto-drafted defensive players was a healthy scratch for the last game and will be for the upcoming game, so I added a player that is playing tomorrow to fill the gap. For some reason he doesn't show up on my roster for tomorrow. I understand that you don't want people adding and dropping players each day to run up the totals in the scoring categories (as evidenced by the 4 transactions per week limit) but now I picked up some dude that I can't even play tomorrow. Did I just waste one of my 4 transactions on a player that I can't use tomorrow (which essentially renders a third of his week useless)?

I just added a player that is available for me tomorrow so I'm not sure what the issue is... If you're talking about Fowler, I see him on your list starting Thursday but he doesn't have a game tomorrow.

I added a Fowler last night and he has a game today, but he doesn't show up on my roster until tomorrow. It's like there is a one day grace period before you can actually use a player. I'm used to being able to pick up a player and use him that day provided the first game of the day hasn't started. In your case, the player you just picked up could be started today (provided he has a game today) because the start of the first game isn't for another 2 hours.

I get what you're saying now. It doesn't appear to be an option I can change which is odd. Sorry, apparently I sucked this year.

I see the setting now. Had to do a bit of reading on the help pages. Looks like there are three settings for deadlines.
Daily - Tomorrow: All transactions will be reflected in your lineup for the following day. Deadline is 11:59 pm PT each night. Daily - Today: You will be able to add free agents to your roster for the current day so long as all transactions are completed no later than five minutes before the start of each player's game. Weekly - On Monday: All roster moves made during the week will be reflected in your lineup the following Monday. Deadline is 11:59 PT Sunday night.
We are set up for Daily - Tomorrow. I would've had to get the transaction in by 11:59 pm PT last night for Fowler to show up today. I made the move at 11:38 pm AKDT which is 12:38 am PT.

Fuck. Yup... and now I can't change it. Gross oversight. Sorry.

No worries. I'm sure that's the default anyway. In my rush to put together a ESPN league I accidently designated C, LW, and RW as forwards. I imagine it's a default setting, because I wouldn't have chosen to set it up that way. Now you can start as many of each position as you want and don't have to worry about position eligibility.
Now that I know about the deadline, I won't make that mistake again.

Ya, it was definitely the default and you're right about the ESPN position default too. I remember that from last year.

Then I'd have to put clothes on.
How about you log into mine and do it for me for a week?

I do not understand this format...or i'm used to ESPN pools, so I'm afraid to make move because I don't understand how. It keeps trying to make me get a yahoo email...I don't want a Yahoo email.
I'm doooomed.

Haha this method is a lot different than I thought. Seems to be in your best interest if you make changes daily. I'm far too lazy for that. You also have to pay attention to what your opponent is doing well at and try to adjust to beat that. SO MUCH EFFORT!

Yeah. The only time I remember it is when I log into here, which happens maybe once a week these days. NEED LESSER COMMITMENT FORMAT.

Rusty, sign in using facebook and you won't need yahoo.
You can set your schedule weeks in advance if you want. To make a move of a player from your bench to one of your playable slots, press the BN button next to the bench player and then click an available slot to complete the move.
