I guess that means if the CD goes away then so does album art. This idea really saddens me.

Awesome. That U2 song is fucking unbelievable. My first CD was the soundtrack to Colors.

Buy vinyl. Bigger art and now almost all come with free mp3 downloads.

I am slowly making the transition to vinyl and love it. That will soften the blow I suppose.

I guess that means if the CD goes away then so does album art. This idea really saddens me. Album art isn't going away, the "cover" of an album is as symbolic as some of the music contained. The cover art is still displayed in digital formats, and it will continue to.

I understand that, but what I was getting was the physical side of the album art. Looking at the cover on an iPod, iPhone, computer screen or whatever is not the same as seeing it in the physical form of a CD of vinyl.
But you are right in that the "cover" will always be there to look at in some form.

I guess I just feel like there are bigger problems than your ability to get to work tomorrow. The protest on the bridge is not random. It's to bring attention to the fact that the steel bridge is overdue for repairs/general maintenance and the city of portland refuses to hire any number of it's unemployed to do it. I think you're confusing a small step in the process for an expression of the overall message. I don't know who you are or where you get your information, but what I've experienced first hand is radically different than what the media has portrayed. Your comments sound like regurgitations of media lies. I'm not a fake poster. I've been to Sasquatch! every year since 2008. I've posted on this board numerous times under another name. Whatever that has to do with anything. You keep thinking this will go away, but this isn't a sad failure in the continued system of revolution. It's an attempt to come together and create a revolutionary system. This is the only way for an actual representation of the american people to accomplish that in a government that has pigeonholed them into one of two broad categories. If you don't feel represented by the movement, I promise, it's really easy to go and represent yourself. Oh, and I'm pretty sure the the fed uses your tax dollar for things far more atrocious than renovations to a park. First, I nailed your fake poster status. No one just signs up for a message board to talk shit unless they've already been done wrong. So you are real, but you are not saying anything other than, "this is a CONCEPT that all americans should feel just about, it's bigger than you think, but you just don't get it." So what is the point? Please sum it up in two lines or less, otherwise you sound like every other political activist spouting off random shit that means nothing to the average folk, but you somehow make us feel like we are missing something with your filibustering. If you are trying to convince me the Occupy movement is about maintenence on the Steel bridge, I will gladly call bullshit. I don't think we'd be going through all of this trouble if it were as simple as a line or two and clearly, i can only speak for myself. in a nut shell, the wealthy run our country in spite of the fact that they are the minority and have been completely alienated from the needs and wants of the majority by said wealth. I'm surprised you can't see the correlation between a movement meant to empower the proletariat and rebuild the middle class, and an isolated effort to encourage the creation of jobs. I don't care if you're walking 3 miles or 3 feet, the journey begins with the first step. Maybe we haven't mastered this process that's so new to our generation, but it at least we have the balls to try. And since you can't let it go, I'm female. My experiences on this board have taught me that it's easier to be male. That's why I changed my profile. I'm vismund cygnus and I'm calling a direct violation. Is that ok with you?

the wealthy run our country in spite of the fact that they are the minority. That's how it works in every country. And since you can't let it go, I'm female. My experiences on this board have taught me that it's easier to be male. That's why I changed my profile. I'm vismund cygnus and I'm calling a direct violation. Is that ok with you? I don't care if you are male or female, I was only pointing out that you are obviously not new. I recognize the name Vismund, but I don't know how to use the search engine on this board, so I have no idea who you were. I keep thinking you were involved in the orgy thread though? If I ever develope an exit strategy from the internet, it will be continually bad mouthing the Occuppy movement. However, I'm just going to piss you all off for now. I was part of the lower 10% for several years, then through hard work and intelligence, I became part of the upper 10%. It might sound like I'm bragging, so be it. But part of me calls foul when a bunch of broke people cry about how they are broke, and how the rich are rich? Should the successful give the poor half of their money to balance things out?" That's BS, and it's never going to happen, nor do the occupiers think it will. I support the movement. Banks are corrupt, so is the government. Answering the question of, "Can we change this," is similar to answering the question I just typed, "Should the rich give the poor half of their money to balance things out?" I don't hate the movement at all, I think what Fig is doing is pretty awesome. By the way, did anyone notice that fig was misquoted in the article? I clearly heard the word "fighting" in the video. Isn't that illegal?

TL;DR after you used the word 'proletariat'.
Do you hear yourself? You sound like a drama club kid calling the preppies 'bourgois pigs' because they didn't invite you to their kegger at the reservoir.
Stop, stop. Yer killin me.

And since you can't let it go, I'm female. My experiences on this board have taught me that it's easier to be male. That's why I changed my profile. I call bullshit. Aside from a few assholes here and there this board is very easy to be on as a female. My daily life off the internet is harder to deal with as a female. If you don't like the people on here that is your issue to deal with, but acting like you are persecuted or harassed because of your sex here is totally ridiculous.

Yeah this board is pretty damn laid-back as far as how self-identified females go. Try it on a board for any sort of computer game.
