Follow-up: Third explosion at Boston Library, controlled by Police bomb squads. Multiple undetonated bombs found in surrounding area. Cell phone towers shut down. All off-duty officers have been activated. UPDATE 1:24 PM PST: Ball bearings found alongside the explosive devices. Officially not an accident, but an intentional act to inflict harm. Don't bother with CNN or MSNBC or whatever, follow the police scanner here: www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/6254/web

My understanding is that "undetonated bombs" should more accurately be described as "mysterious devices." I don't think they're messing around with anyone that is even remotely questionable.
The whole thing is really fucked up but I need to turn off the news. There is nothing positive coming from CNN constantly repeating video of the blast, it's just tasteless. The excitement in some of the anchors voices as they get to cover something this substantial is even more disappointing.

TL;DR US Bomb Kills 30 at Afghan Wedding I mean...you just...can't. make. this shit. up. Posted this on ole facebutt: "As we reflect on the tragedy in Boston today, let us remember that Dr. Garbanzohting fire with fire only burns us all. We've been Dr. Garbanzohting the war on terrorism for over a decade and all we've done is increase the rate by which people are dying. Today we lost several lives in a horrible way, a way all to similar to the hundreds of civilian casualties who were “accidentally” killed in US drone strikes. Americans have always responded to tragedy with amazing compassion and generosity, if we can extend this mentality to all citizens of the world and abandon this notion that killing each other will somehow eliminate terrorism, then we just might make it." Then saw this post. *siiiiiiiiiiiigh*
