I will have to agree with this. justin definitely needs to leave the social commentary to Bob and David.

So... my comment was sarcastic. I figured more of you would have seen that South Park clip and understood what I was getting at. My mistake. Nice try calling me out though, Friendly D.
hipsterhap out!

No, Mr. Garrison. We can't get rid of all the Mexicans.
Whoopsie, I support that name change becoming permanent.

Yeah i thought i needed a new name, and it seemed so fitting. Now, I will just have to work on not making those drunken politically incorrect whoopsie posts.

Hadn't been in this thread 'til today, obviously because I have no interest in longboarding on solid ground (notwithstanding longboarding on water). Came in to say how much I appreciated the user name "Whoopsie Goldberg", only to find this mess in here. Hey, at least I got a reason for the name change.
p.s. did I use notwithstanding properly? I am a little uncertain of its appropriate use, so I might as well use this avenue find out. Who is the MFA poet here again?

I would have written that sentence like this:
"...becaue I have no interest in longboarding on solid ground (my interest in longboarding on water notwithstanding).
I rely too heavily on parenthetical asides, though (like I need to tell you guys that).

I find it hilarious you saw a four page thread about longboarding, and assumed we were actually talking about longboarding.

(That's my way of saying I have no idea)

But actually no, I think you would only say that if it were an exception to something you'd previously said, like, "I hate women, Lady Gaga notwithstanding."

I find it hilarious you saw a four page thread about longboarding, and assumed we were actually talking about longboarding. You got me there sort of...Like every regular poster here, when the thread first came about, I looked at it, probably within the first hour (before anyone else had posted), realized it was about longboarding on land, and then never returned. Between then and now, I hadn't realized the thread included a tirade from Horned Gramma, which I always appreciate reading. Thanks Whoopsie for changing your name, thanks Gramma for coining it.

It's a Tim and Eric joke, but it did develop naturally over the course of the conversation. I'll take half-credit.
