This is Torres' sixth suspension. SIXTH! Almost all of them have been head shots. Seriously, fuck that guy. I could care less if he got a lifetime ban. He is a fucking scrub who has made a career out of hurting people. Fuck him.
Shanahan needs to come down hard on everyone. Crank up the suspensions. That's the only way these guys will get it. I'm sick of this shit. Weber should have gotten five games. Sedin should have gotten at least a game (come at me Canuck fans, that elbow was dirty as fuck). Keith should have been gone for the season. Injury should not be the mitigating factor behind suspensions, intent should be.

I'm with Womp. You can't compare the suspension to other suspendable hits as Torres' was based off of both the hit itself and his past with suspensions and what type of things he was suspended for. To an extant all suspendable actions are individually based, it seems most people forget this and get all up in arms about, "how can this guy get that many games while this other guy only got this amount of games". The suspensions are primarily meant to curb the player from repeating these actions. If the point of the suspension was simply to penalize the team then it would be different. I also think that intent should be taken into major consideration, but as things stand now injury is the most pressing concern for the NHL.
What are you supposed to do with a guy whose been repeatedly suspended for head hits which have resulted in player injury and yet continues to do the exact same thing?

I think when you start to get into these repeat offender situations, you should start to hold the teams responsible as well. Make it a deterrent for playing these guys. Make monster fines against the team or maybe suspend the coach. Because you look at it, all it cost for Phoenix for getting rid of Hossa was some skid player that played 10 minutes a night. You think Phoenix is upset with that?

BC board suicide, but I'm tempted to cheer for the Kings throughout the rest of the playoffs. That was a damn impressive upset.

The Kings played very well in that series. Had the Canucks decided to show up for the first two games it could easily have gone to 7 games and been a very entertaining series.
Ahh well. Go Sens?

All the teams I could possibly root for (Pittsburgh, Vancouver, Not The Rangers, Not The Flyers) are going down slowly... just gotta hope the Devils can win the next two, I guess. If they're still in the playoffs by Sasquatch (which I think would mean they made the Cup finals), I'm buying a shirt or something/wearing it one day, heads up.

I'm enjoying that fact that I finally have a reason to wear my Grandpa's old Kings jersey.

Brutal call on Foligno's so called goaltender interference. The reffing has been atrocious in these Playoffs. So many missed or wrong penalties have decided so many games. Fucky, fuck, fuck!

I loved at Coachella, Fox uttered that phrase once, "coconut scone," and like magic some kid in a Canucks jersey appeared right beside us cheering 'go canucks go'. He had no clue what we were actually saying.

What a heart breaker that Canucks loss was.
I think we should trade Lou to Columbus for Rick Nash as well as Daniel, Burrows, and a 2nd pick to Pittsburgh for Crosby (word is he is being shopped!). I hope they re-sign Paulsson and can also land Ryan Suter in the offseason. We will be unstopable with that lineup!!!!!!!!!!!
