I'm attending the A's v. Mariners series in Seattle again Friday, June 21st, Saturday, June 22nd, and Sunday, June 23rd. I got royally fucked out of a bunch of money by board regulars two weeks ago, so I'm not buying tickets for anyone. If you want to meet up, and buy your own ticket, let's do it.
EDIT: I'll also have a shitty hotel near the park, so if anyone doesn't want to deal with driving, the floor is big enough for at least three people.

Next weekend I am going to Kansas City for a baseball, BBQ and beer trip. Shaping up nicely as the Royals are playing Texas and are currently 2.5 out of the wild card. Should be some exciting baseball!

I don’t know how much more pathetic my Mariners can be. I just read a story that said we asked 70 year old Lou Piniella if he would come back and we got turned down. First of all, I don’t think I would want 70 year old Lou to come back to this train wreck. It already gave a much younger man a stroke. Second of all, Lou? Really? They just don’t give a shit about winning They want someone that will bring some butts back to the seats in the short term. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR With all that said, you know we are going to the playoffs next year (haha, I say this every year).

Same old same old. The Mariners are being used as leverage and getting all of the fans' hopes up. Just give Cano the bank and I am happy. So tired of coming up short and signing all of the Jack Cust like Dr. Garbanzoures of the baseball world.
I know the A's don't throw the bank at people and have winning teams...but I am desperate here. I need some winning baseball in my life. It is the most painful sport to be a die hard fan of when you have a shitty team.
EDIT: Cano is in Seattle right now for some discussions. Have been seeing some encouraging tweets out there though. For example: Jason Churchill says that the Asst GM that texted "panic move" yesterday says "I think Cano signs before he leaves" beleives Cano could be somewhat disenchanted with NYY.
THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.

EDIT: I am going to stop looking at these MLB Rumors. They are making my mind spin. Everyone reports anything they want to. Still a Jay-Z hater regardless.
EDIT EDIT: And just like that, reported 10 year 240 million dollar deal in place. I hope this is true. The M's and Cano are both getting ripped about this deal. People saying it is dumb for both parties. I love it. I will be picking up a Cano jersey to go along with my Felix jersey. Go M's.

I am so freaking excited about the season. Every time I turn on sports radio and they are talking Seahawks I get irritated. Let's talk M's guys. I know that I am always irrationally optimistic about the M's but I am feeling this season will be a positive one. Don't think we are catching the A's but I don't think we are coming in 5th or 4th in the AL West this year. There are still talks of a trade before the season starting. Nick Franklin seems to be the target in exchange for a starter. Our outfield is shaky at best but still optimistic. Wild card here we come  |
