Sennheisers blow. Trust me. Had Sennies for years and could not wait to get rid of them. People who claim they are superior to Bose are the same product snobs who claim PCs are better than Macs.

There is a great deal of irony in that last statement!

Want: The Sumiko Pro-Ject Debut III. I want to buy it and eat it. I was checking out this Pro-Ject Debut Carbon and a couple others. It appears to be the most highly recommended for the mid price range. While red usually isn't my favorite color that thing does look sexy. I'm interested to hear what Gramma has to say after a couple years of use. If it is Gramma approved I may just have to work it into my budget. It basically looks the same. The main difference I see is that there is a carbon tone arm instead of aluminum. Hence the name.

We treat it very nicely and it still sounds amazing. We have replaced the stylus since then. I still love it every time I look at it. Plus our amp is the shit.

Great to hear. I trust your word as well. They come in so many cool colors, but I almost think I would want to play it safe and go with black or silver just to match other electronics, furnishings, etc. I'll have to work on a better amp down the road. Right now I have a crappy turntable that I don't like to play my records on too much.

I wanted to buy that Pro-Ject Debut Carbon, but now I'm looking to save some money for new wheels. Do i need to reevaluate my priorities? I heard the Audio Technica AT-LP60 is a pretty good lower priced turntable. Has any body had any experience with this model? Would it be worth buying this and using it for a while, or should I just wait until I can buy the Carbon? Like I mentioned before, I have a crappy Crosley one now, and I don't really like playing my records on it very much. I have some records I haven't played yet.

Just recently purchased it. Has been great so far. Continually listed as one of the better turntables under $125 (for whatever that's worth).

I recently moved, and decided I needed to finally move forward with my audio system upgrade. I didn't even want to go through the trouble of setting up my old Sony surround sound system. I decided to keep my cheap turntable for the time being, but needed an amp and speakers. After some research I found I could just get some active speakers and connect them to my turntable directly. I went with the Audioengine A5+ speakers. I'm still in the process of breaking in these bad boys. They sound good. Next I will get an Audioengine S8 sub to go with the speakers, and a white Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. After that configuration is complete, I think I will be happy for a while.

You'll need to get a pre-amp for the Pro-ject Debut Carbon though, right? Because it doesn't have a built in pre-amp, and the A5+ speakers only include a power amp? I am also getting a Pro-ject Debut Carbon turntable - should arrive next week. I'm running it through a simple Onkyo integrated amp and passive 2-channel Pioneer speakers, the floor-standing Andrew Jones ones. Next up on my last is a AptX bluetooth DAC, and then some RF wireless headphones, and I'll be in like Flynt.

I'm thinking about going with a Pro-Ject Phono Box S, and eventually upgrading to the Pro-Ject Tube Box S. After a little research I am thinking I should just spend the extra money and get the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon DC Esprit SB. It has some nice upgrades and the built in speed control.
