You like your Bose setup Pea? I always thought Bose were pretty overpriced for what they provide. My current setup was my first step up into higher quality sound systems, so I really have nothing to compare them to. I'm extremely happy with them though and was able to finance the SoundDock for like $25 a month. Never really felt the $400 sting  |

Ya I've always been pretty impressed with the bose sound, but I guess the price tag has scared me away in the past. Here's the setup I've been sporting for the past 2 months. Love the sound of these speakers.  |

I use the shitty speakers in my laptop, the stock speakers in my work van and for when I really want to listen; some big Sony headphones for my MP3 player or laptop.
Yeah, I know, impressive.

What's that cat book about? Cats? Haha it's called The Animal Dialogues and it's a collection of short stories about this guys interaction with different animals in the wild. Talks about some crazy shit like being face to face with jaguars and what not. |

I forget if we have a thread about headphones. Anyway, I just bought a new pair of headphones because my Bose around-ear headphones crapped out for the third time and I'm sick of them. So I started doing research. Holy shit did I fall down a rabbit hole. I honestly spent about 6 hours on Monday researching headphones, learning about brands, soundscapes, "warm mids," "bright treble," driver sizes, frequency rates, burning-in, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. I knew there was a headphone culture, but I had never jumped in head first. Fucking overwhelming. Some people say they're too bassy, and I noticed that a bit yesterday when I got them, but people also say that ends up evening out over time. They're pretty much incredible - I wish I could wear them at work. Does anyone, like, know a shitload about headphones around here? |
