We heard from Abe Vigoda, personally, that they really want to play an outside venue overlooking a gorge on the westcoast. They could mean Sasquatch! They seem like they might fit The Warped Tour better, which is also at the gorge, but then again Bedouin Soundclash has played both!

I didn't go to the Ozomatli show, so I could be mistaken, but I am almost positive they were handing out passes to go to a late night show.

I think they handed out tickets because they were only letting in a certain amount of people, that or they were trying to make it more exclusive sounding.

There was a booth and people standing around handing out passes. I wish I could remember what company. I don't think it was esurance because they give out early line passes. Hopefully they will do it again this year.

Both the Polyphonic Spree and Ozomatli were advertised during the day for their late night shows and you could get free passes to them. Again, I can't remember for sure, but it was put on by one of the sponser like verizon. Neither of them were make up shows due to the weather, though I remember the Spree getting blown off the stage. I did not go to either of the late night shows. I know the Polyphonic Spree happened, but I am not for sure on Ozomatli. I think they both happened on the days that they played earlier in the day.

The last two years there has been a band that played late. Last year it was Ozomatli and the year before it was the Polyphonic Spree, I think Verizon or somebody put it on.

Yeah, I don't think they will headline either, but I think they could lead into a headliner.

Every year I am amazed at how entertained I am by the diverse lineup so I doubt Sasquatch! could throw me a dealbreaker...

I don't think this info has been posted so here it is. This pass that you print out is free and gets you in 15 minutes early. I printed out six just in case I need one for both me and my wife for each of the days. Check it out! www.esurance.com/gorge/

Taking pictures at night is tough. I usually use the natural light setting and wait until there is less lighting. The best is if the light it still and is on the performers and the performers are standing as still as possible (which never happens). You can also use your rapid picture mode and pick the best one from the series. Keep messing with it eventually you'll get one or two good pictures.

I hope Band of Horses is on a smaller stage, but it would be an awesome triple bill of Band of Horses, the Black Keys and Beck on the Mainstage.........

It is fun to keep your eye on the weather, but it will probably change quite a bit over the next 10 days. Ideally it would be in the 80s with a breeze and only get into the 60s by the time the show ends, but I think 2003 is the only year that had basically perfect weather.
I have to say though, I would take the scorching heat over the last two years I hated the wind and the hail.......

Here's my two cents: Lucinda Williams/Neko Case I could see either playing a mid day headlining set or headlining the Mural Ampitheatre stage, which is typically alt-country type bands. If Rage is there Anti-Flag will probably open seeing since Anti-Flag announced that they would be on tour this summer with Rage. I would not be surprised if shows up as the opener for STP since they are supposedly supporting them on there tour. Black Keys have opened for Beck before so that is a possibility. Prince, probably doesn't need an opener, if he is there. All-American Rejects and Paramore will be headlining I would guess (I don't know how they got so big, but they did.) however, with all the big bands coming to Bumbershoot this year it would have to be during the day. Having said that last year it was hip hop one night, rock one night and pop one night so I guess we'll see. Beck, STP, Rage, but then where would the Purple One fit in? Which starts to make me think that Rage and Prince might have just been a mistake all along..........July 15th it will all be clear........ AAR and Paramore wont headline a night (I don't think). It'll be STP and Beck w/ either another headliner or a Hip-Hop show. I think the pop show will be a mid-day thing (the kiddies gotta get home early). But then again Bumbershoot headlined BOTH Panic at the Disco AND Fergie last year... Notice I didn't say they would headline at night, but during the day, I guess that's not headlining, what I mean is a mainstage slot during the day, so I think we are in agreeance on that......however, like you pointed out Panic at the Disco headlined last year so who knows........I would actually prefer them to headline and put some of the bands that I want to see on smaller stages. Like last year during Wu Tang I was out watching the Frames and Ted Leo on a smaller stage it was great, smaller crowd more intimate, awesome show!!!!
