Good catch on Melvv, ldtimm! I don't think that makes them a lock per say, but they make a lot of sense. I'll add them (him?) to the OP.

We were (at least I was) convinced ODESZA and Portugal. The Man would crossover from Hangout, but now it looks like neither will be there! Thanks for asking PtM, Geoff. I guess it's good news that those big names aren't among the crossovers, but ruling those out technically does make the Chainsmokers more likely...

But also, Pea's words of wisdom probably also apply to David Byrne: Y'all talking about Godspeed and My Bloody Valentine as if this isn't the festival that morphed into the Twenty One Pilots fest.

The most comparable artist to David Byrne to play Sasquatch in recent years is Robert Plant, and his set was both well-received and well-attended. I think Led Zeppelin is bigger than the Talking Heads, and David Byrne hasn't played a proper solo show in over four years, so no one knows what the setlist would look like, but he's already booked for 8 festivals next year, so he's certainly possible. His billing at the South American Lollapalooza festivals is interesting: 15th in Argentina, 16th in Chile, and 17th in Brazil. So, if he were to play Sasquatch, I think David Byrne would be a sub-headliner. Is that sacrilegious?

I do think Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness and Allen Stone are possible considering their joint US spring tour ends 5/24 in Colorado and hits Portland and Spokane but skips Seattle, but it's billed as "An Acoustic Evening With..." which doesn't seem like it would naturally translate to a festival setting.

LINEUP COMING FEBRUARY 5!Despite our fears, our favo(u)rite festival is coming back May 25-27, 2018, and we have been promised "a robust lineup rich with new musical discoveries in the spirit of the best Sasquatches past"! We're off to an intriguing start so far. I will keep the OP updated over the next two months. Please only post here when reporting an artist you expect based on hard evidence: tour dates or something you've been told. The Rampant Speculation thread is a great place to talk about why this is the year for Karin or that some band you read about online announced fall tour dates in Japan. Tickemaster says General Onsale is 2/10, implying the lineup will be announced around February 5. Rumo(u)red for SasquatchTyler, The Creator ( tour dates: plays Vancouver and Portland on his winter tour, but skips Seattle. Vince Staples supports Tyler at the Portland show, but not the Vancouver show, but a potential radius clause has more to do with the headliner than the supporting act. Yes, I'm aware Tyler played Seattle in November.) Tash Sultana ( tour dates: 5/24 in Vancouver) Modest Mouse ( tour dates: end 5/24 in Oakland and skip the PNW) Maggie Rogers ( playing Red Rocks 5/28) St. Vincent ( listed on Pollstar, which isn't a confirmation) Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats ( tour dates: skip Seattle when they tour the west coast and are free during Sasquatch) Phoebe Bridgers ( tour dates: plays Vancouver and Portland in late April on her spring US tour, but skips Seattle) Kevin Morby ( tour dates: plays Portland but skips Seattle on his spring US tour) Gang of Youths ( tour dates: Portland 5/24 and Vancouver 5/26 with no Seattle date) (Sandy) Alex G ( tour dates: skips Seattle on tour with Dr. Dog, plays Boston Calling 5/25) Lizzo ( tour dates: skipping Seattle on HAIM's spring tour, playing Red Rocks 5/28) Pond ( tour dates - rationale) Wolf Parade ( tour dates: 5/24 in Boise) Japandroids ( tour dates: 5/24 in Boise) The Garden ( listed on Pollstar, which isn't a confirmation, but they skip Seattle on their upcoming tour) Pedro the Lion ( tour dates: plays Vancouver and Portland but skips Seattle on their spring reunion tour that ends 5/24 in Missoula) chubbystackz's List of Festival OverlapsCoachella: 15Primavera: 10Boston Calling: 11Bonnaroo: 9Hangout: 6BottleRock: 5Governors Ball: 4In Bloom: 4Shaky Knees: 4Lightning In a Bottle: 3Okeechobee: 3Panorama: 3Firefly: 2Grizzly Festival: 0

Great catch! They’re definitely likely.
Possible: Phoebe Bridgers plays Portland and Vancouver in April but skips Seattle and has May open.

I'm disappointed in the youths of this board for not being more excited about Pedro the Lion returning to Sasquatch. Bad youths! I do not expect a return to the old ways to look like this, but this was the lineup the last time Pedro the Lion played:

Probably going to get Andrew McMahon (assuming Spokane is not a black out city? is it?) and any of these supporting acts. Which I support because he does not suck and will also bring in a lot of little teeny boppers to keep us keeping on. www.andrewmcmahon.com/tour/This actually rules him out. He will be on the east coast given his tour dates, but I would have enjoyed the addition of him and Allen Stone again. The last date I see listed is May 24 in Colorado. Sasquatch is May 25-27.

Not sure how I missed it, but Royal Blood? They are touring with QOTSA currently, but then head to South America and Aus/NZ through mid-may instead of hitting up the PNW with the Queens. They played at like 3pm on big foot last time and had a great set. I'd love to see them on the main stage next year. It looks like Royal Blood's stint with QOTSA ends in NY on 5/25, which is Friday of Sasquatch. So, while it would be technically possible for them to fly straight out and play the Gorge on Sunday, I would say they look pretty unlikely. Which does kinda suck because their set last time was a blast. Royal Blood now have a headlining date in Brooklyn on 5/28. So with shows in New York on 5/25 and 5/28, they're definitely not playing Sasquatch 2018. I wouldn't be surprised if they're at Boston Calling, though.

Kevin Morby announced a long US spring tour that starts in Portland in early April but does not hit Seattle. The final date of the run is 5/5, but without a Seattle date and no commitments Memorial Day weekend, he's definitely possible.

Is the March Seattle Odesza date new in their just now tour announcement? Good catch. I think that effectively eliminates them from Sasquatch. Bumbershoot > DTHB > Sasquatch was already a stretch, but possible. But with a March WaMu date, Sasquatch would definitely be overkill. Whoa! That is genuinely surprising. I was convinced they would headline, but I agree that March date eliminates them. There is precedent for a local act to both play Seattle and headline Sasquatch in the spring (Sleater-Kinney 2015), but that was a special circumstance.

Some random on Reddit claimed to have inside info and said Bon Iver is confirmed. Nothing to back that up, so take it as you will. Personally, That would help explain why they haven't toured the PNW behind 22, A Million. It will have been 20 months between the release of that album and Sasquatch 2018, so it wouldn't be an incredibly relevant booking, but I'd still be excited to see the show.
