I made some Sasquatch schedule flash cards in Excel. All set times are mainly guesses based on 20 - 25 minute breaks before the official start times. Change the background colour of the cells to colour code the bands you want to see. I personally chose green for must see and yellow for bands I might see. Print it and cut it out for handy pocketable schedules. I recommend using a letter size semi-glossy photo paper. Makes it look fancy. haha. Note: this is the excel file. Don't let your browser try to save it as a zip. www.kickstartmultimedia.com/sasquatch/sasquatchschedule.xlsx

Last year someone apparently brought a bag of round pitas. The crowd at the wookie stage were flinging them in the air like frizbees one night. It passed the time waiting for the next band quite nicely.

Outlets? Of course there will be outlets at the gorge... It's called a power inverter plugged into your car's cigarette lighter thing. You can probably buy one as cheap as say $20. Just remember to run your engine once in a while so your car battery doesn't die in the middle of the open field.

Taking pictures at night is tough. I usually use the natural light setting and wait until there is less lighting. The best is if the light it still and is on the performers and the performers are standing as still as possible (which never happens). You can also use your rapid picture mode and pick the best one from the series. Keep messing with it eventually you'll get one or two good pictures. Night time's a pain when using flash. I used to keep getting spotty images because the flash would reflect of smoke from the smoke machines or someone smoking weed. Or the camera would over compensate for the bright stage lights. Then I figured out the Night Portrait setting (on most Canon cameras "scene" settings) gives nice balanced shot at night. Just need a steady head in some circumstances.

Today Coachella announced the addition of Prince. He'll apparently headline Saturday, which makes sense. Portishead as a headliner was a weird choice.

So they've added N*E*R*D, Matisyahu, Minus the Bear, and Inward Eye. MGMT cancelled.

That'll be known when Live Nation makes the official announcement and launches the website tomorrow. The website will be at www.pembertonfestival.comOf course this all depends on final approval at a Pemberton council meeting tonight. But I think it's just a formality.

Basically it's simply down Interstate 90 until you exit the "Gorge Amphitheatre" exit. Then it's a semi-long 2 lane road to the venue. The only danger is missing the exit off the I-90

Myself and 5 friends rented the biggest RV we could find in Calgary and are doing this in style this year. This thing is like 30 feet long. So awesome. Out of curiosity how much is the RV rental

What the hell? $100 value pass for camping is only valid for Saturday, Sunday and Monday? What about Friday night when a lot of people show up to the camp grounds? Camping's really going to cost $140 per car?

Shows go from noonish to midnight.
If your coming from the west (ie. from Seattle going east on the I-90) I tend to suggest stopping in Ellensburg. There's a liquor store there (if you want hard stuff), a Fred Meyer and some other grocery store
It's basically your last piece of sizeable civilization before the Gorge.

There isn't really any specific land plot restrictions. Our group had 9 people in 4 cars and about 5 tents and put up two 10X10 pop-up gazebo/canopies in the middle for shade during the day for lounging before going to the concerts.
If a group of you are going and peoplea are arriving late, you can tarp off some space.
The only thing they try to do is keep lanes open for cars to drive through to spots.
Basically, you can take up a lot of space with no problem.

Camp next to your car on a giant field. Walk is between 10-20 minutes to the venue depending on where on the field your placed. There are sinks with running water by every porta-potty station (aka "Honey Buckets" as they're called at the Gorge). The warm water from the sinks do run out pretty quick though. There's a general store close to the venue entrance and also one closer to the campsite. There's also showers there. Bring as much booze as you want to the campsite. If you're coming from the West (ie. Seattle), then stop in Ellensburg for booze and food supplies. One thing you can't have is camp fires or oil based tiki torches, but portable BBQs are fine. One year friends of mine brought a full-sized BBQ which was awesome. Generally with it only being May, be aware that the temperature at The Gorge can go from insanely hot during the day to freezing your ass off at night.

Check this out... During my search for specific dates for all the bands, I came across this for Destroyer: www.mergerecords.com/band.php?tour=true&band_id=29It says he's at Sasquatch on the 24th WITH Vampire Weekend and Okkervil River. Let the Vampire Weekend rumours heat up!

From past experience they tend to stagger the lineups on the stages slightly. At least for the Main stage and the Wookie stage (2nd stage) anyway. You might have a 15 minute window to catch a tail end of one act after you leave one of the stages. It all depends on the speed of setup/teardown of course.

Here's something I'd like to know. Can someone please explain the appeal of M.I.A.? I've listened to her music on MySpace and watched the music video for 'Bird Flu' last year before she cancelled. Tonight I decided to listen to her stuff again and other than being on the verge of a massive seizure from all the blinking stuff on her website and myspace, I don't understand why she's such a big deal.
