Man, it's been a few years since I've paid close attention to this message board. When did it turn into someone's Tumbr account full of nothing but animated gifs?

I was hoping for the announcement of a My Bloody Valentine reunion at Sasquatch this year! Agreed! Really thought they had a good chance of being there. Although, me being 23, and you being at an age where you've probably heard of them more than I have. I was hoping they'd be there more than anything. I still have a bit of hope they will be added, but I doubt it. Maybe next year? Or both of you could go to Coachella in April... Just sayin'...

I want to go, but if none of my friends are going, I won't simply because the expense of driving from Victoria to the Gorge by myself is too costly.
This was already a year where most people I know were on the fence to begin with. Kings of Leon and Ben Harper as headliners did not help matters unfortunately.

The undercard for Monday is solid. Harper at the end is meh. Friday is very meh for me. Saturday is decent. NIN at Pemberton was stellar and I wouldn't mind checking out Jane's. It's definitely not a lineup that screams out "I must go" this year. This year seems to be an "I'll tag along if anyone else I know goes" kind of year.

And the bands were announced during the news/traffic segments.

Ghostland 3 years in a row is a little much... then again we technically had Neko case 3 years in a row, though last year was with the New Pornographers...
As for The D... Tenacious D have a song called Sasquatch, so I could kinda see it maybe happening. I actually had it first on my roadtrip to Sasquatch playlist last year.

I really hope the tent is more open this year and doesn't have a limited capacity. Lining up to get to see an act when you're already in the festival venue is stupid.

Electronic/Dance music tend to draw a younger, less intelligent crowd, one thing that makes the Coachella board so unbearable. Couldn't disagree more (except about the Coachella board). If this was a serious concern, they could always make a 21+ or 18+ dance tent. Seemed to work at Pemberton. People often talk about how they like the diversity of music at Sasquatch (and music festivals in general). I certainly think dance music should at least be considered as an option for night time sets. The 19+ dance tent at Pemberton was a disaster. The line to get in was ridiculous. You basically had to miss 2 - 4 bands on the other stages because you were stuck in line waiting to get into the dance tent and even then there was no guarantee that enough people would leave to allow you inside.

As far I know the MGMT rumour isn't anything but speculation. I do believe though that they intended to play last year but had to back out because of touring conflicts. Bonnaroo 2008 was kind of like MGMT's coming out party, so I figure maybe they just plan to do a couple of festival one-offs while working on new material. Again though, just speculation. Bonnaroo 2008? Really? Cuz I saw them at Coachella last year and the tent was packed.

4 days = me not going.
3 is more than enough.

I really hope Sasquatch avoids the lineup fiasco going on with Coachella right now. It's friggin' anarchy at the Coachella message boards right now.

I thought the Polyphic Spree performed a late night snow because they're main stage set was cut short because of the wind storm?

Repeat acts from last year Ghostland Observatory, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, and Ozomatli. I don't think Ghostland or Ozomatli will be there next year. That would make it 3 years in a row (They were at Sasquatch '07 too). That's a little TOO repetitive.

This is retarded. YouTube deleted my Flaming Lips- The Song Remains the Same video. Apparently 5 women dancing on stage naked for 30 seconds is "inappropriate." They're just jumping around. How is that any different than the dozens of streaker videos that have been on youtube forever???

Regular camping also had issues. We arrived Friday night and had a couple friends were to arrive Saturday afternoon. We had their camping gear in our car. In previous years we had no problems saving parking spaces, but this year the staff were being hard asses and not allowing anyone to leave open spots. No good reason was given. We ended up lying saying we saw our friends in a different part of the field and ganged together with other campers and did our own thing. Once staff showed up to where we were, we were already setup and entrenched. What's worse is that the lineup to get into camping Saturday was ridiculous partially due to the fact that some people who were only coming for a day and wanted to pay for camping at the entrance were told that they HAD to pay for ALL 3 days and get a refund when they left. Not many had $120 sitting in their pocket so they had to get out of their cars, walk over to the nearby ATM and caused massive delays. You'd think after all these years they'd have the camping figured out properly.

Well if anyone wants to know the Led Zeppelin song the Flaming Lips covered that had the naked women dancing around, it's called "The Song Remains the Same"

good idea!! but for some reason it does not work It should have an "xlsx" extension. It should open in Excel 2003 and newer. Don't know about older versions of excel. I'm at work right now and it downloads and opens fine.
