Is this a roundabout way of confirming JEFF The Brotherhood?

And to think we were talking about what kind of fan-bases tool and NIN would bring...

Honestly, I don't know how you don't go to The Knife regardless of what their live show is like. It'll be a Goddamn spectacle regardless.

After listening to The Knife's catalog today and last night, I have come to the conclusion that I would be totally fine with hearing their music being playing really loud through the PA at the Gorge. I pay to hear djs play, who am I to judge. So, now that I put that in text and thought about it, shouldn't it technically be called The Knife dj set? From what I hear they don't 'DJ' at all. They literally press play (hell they probably don't even press the button, some sound guy probably does), and do things not related to music at all. God this is so sad to me. A set by them back during Silent Shout was my Holy Grail of live music.

Why? That was fucking awesome. No doubt, but I think it would have been way more fun at night, with their lights and a bigger crowd.

Still annoys me that Chromeo played during daylight.

... By my count, there were 8 crossovers last year between Prima and Squatch - woulda been 9 if Solange had ended up playing. Might be a couple more this year, with the two festivals and all. I'm thinking: One of The National/Queens as a headliner. I said before that i wouldn't expect the National to headline since they confirmed via email, but I think I underestimated how popular they were/are. Mogwai Haim Darkside Dum Dum Girls Real Estate Blood Orange Cloud Nothings Man that lineup murders. Realistically rooting to get: QotSA, National, Darkside, Volcano Choir, Deafheaven, Mogwai, Cloud Nothings

Man, Cass McCombs would be realll nice. He rocked the shit out of the Yeti stage for about 16 of us in 2012. That was the first time I listened to him (my cousin saw him earlier that year or the year before and told me I had to see him).

Smarter? To many, MANY people NIN + Tool would be the single greatest festival headliner pairing of all time. Angersquatch. Edgysquatch

Unless Julysquatch has Tool or something it is going to flop hard. Lots of people are going to pick just one, and they'll pick the one with Outkast and temperatures that are within the survivable range. What if Zacks throws money at the problem? I know they're playing in August, but Arcade Fire have virtually nothing going on in July (though yeah, probably won't happen). I think the added money and subtraction of a day (and maybe taking advantage of surplus from Maysquatch?) could help them drag in something big.

I hope Disclosure do Maysquatch. I know repeats are unlikely, but that was one of the most fun sets last year and I think the environment would be so electric now that their album has been released and now-popular. Their last show (according to last.fm, which I assume is fairly reliable) in the States is Governor's Ball June 6th. Pretty good odds?... Disclosure is huge now and there are 2 Sasquatches, so I don't see why there couldn't be a couple worthy repeats. last.fm may be one of the most unreliable sources of tour information there is. Last year somebody posted that Prince and a bunch of other ridiculous artists were on the lineup, and it ended up all over the internet. I almost want to say it even made it to a fairly big website like Consequence of Sound. Yeah, I remember that. I meant in the aspect it show virtually all booked shows and some digging can find bullshit postings. Wouldn't count on a speculative booking for an unannounced festival lineup.

"unfortunately savages are not going to be doing any more US touring on this record" Damn, Silence Yourself was one of my favorite albums of '13. Wonder if this has any implications for QotSA seeing as they've been touring together heavily (obviously the fact QotSA being from this continent distance helps).

I would be so buttdevastated if a night was Lorde, Ellie Goulding and Foster the People and the dance tent had like some Tiesto-approved pre-made set bro.

I think I would pump my kicks back to the campground early that night. Default to dance tent. Yeah but what about that 30 minute window when you're super sweaty, wired and still ready to move but the backng lights comeback on and that one weird circus song comes on the PA and you go out and see the depressing herd of neon-wayfarers-at-12:30AM people yelling "CALL IT WATCHU WANNNT!" and you have to weigh the odds of walking back to camp alone with echoes of shitty kaleidoscope synths and yelps. That would stink royally.
