Are there locker rentals or anything inside the festival? Sounds like walking back and forth from regular camping would be a trek What Pea said, but also saying that yeah that trek is too much to reasonably expect to do more than you have to. Sasquatch is already too tiring to expect yourself to do an extra ~40 mins of walking for the round trip to general and back. Contrary to popular belief, I am actually not one of Pea's multiple personalities. At least I don't think I am.

They are super small (12x12x18, I think) and about $50 for the weekend, but still better than walking back and forth to general camping several times a day.

I really need to dig more into these guys' back catalog. I've only ever listened to The Weather and Space, but I've enjoyed the hell out of both of them. And if you say the older ones have even more extended instrumental jams, then you are really speaking my language.

The only logical conclusion is that David Byrne is cancelling the Portland show and playing all three nights of Sasquatch.

When I looked at it this morning it said "May 25-27th" with no specific date set. And Tyler is definitely committed other places on Saturday and Sunday. So unless they both play the same day, Byrne has to be Saturday. I could see a very small possibility of Byrne closing the Bigfoot just for the sake of his show requiring full darkness, but it would be the first time I know of when somebody that highly billed played the Bigfoot. Here’s what I’m seeing: Weird.

Moving Tyler to Friday and David Byrne to Saturday (still works with his schedule). Edit: Ray moved to Sunday by default since we have no other info for him. DBs website still says Friday, and it doesn’t look like a Friday default since it has him on Saturday for other 3 day festivals. I'm wondering if Tyler will be the late night performer on the Bigfoot? Tyler into Bon Iver seems strange to me. This would still allow David Byrne to sub the mainstage. In a post Flower Boy world, Tyler is too big to play anything but mainstage in my opinion. If this is how everything plays out, where do you think Byrne/National is going to fall on a scale of the Cure to Sleater Kinney in terms of attendance? I agree that Tyler has to play the main stage. He's the 5th name on the poster, so there's no way he's on the Bigfoot. As for your second question, I'm not sure what you're looking for. Byrne will likely be playing Saturday and The National are confirmed for Sunday and The Cure and SK didn't even play in the same year. I think you have a valid thought there somewhere, it just escapes me at first glance.

Looks like Tyler, The Creator will NOT be playing on the Sunday as we initially thought. He's playing some hip hop festival in Minnesota on the Sunday. Moving Tyler to Friday and David Byrne to Saturday (still works with his schedule). Edit: Ray moved to Sunday by default since we have no other info for him.

Are Algiers and Protomartyr different bands? Asking for a friend. Yes, Protomartyr is good. Algiers > Girlpool

I really want to like this band. I listened to their last album when it came out, but it just didn’t do anything for me. I tried again after the lineup came out and still nothing. Maybe I’ll happen across their set and be blown away, but so far I’m not seeking them out. The way their voices harmonize is some of the best I’ve heard from a duo, and their music just has a simplicity to its angst that I love so much. Their newest track Picturesong, with work from Dev Hynes from Blood Orange is my lifeblood at this point. I do love me some Blood Orange. I'm not completely giving up on these girls yet, they're just low on my priority list at this point.

Have we talked enough about Algiers yet? I don’t think we have. I didn’t even know that industrial gospel was a thing that I needed in my life, but it so is. Dark, noises, and oh so soulful, Algiers is exactly what I never knew I needed.

I mean I guess, as long as there's someone pushing good buttons in the tent at the same time. The professor has been bassallnight this whole time! Oops. I guess I posted that under the wrong account. It's so hard to keep track.

Sounds to me like you need to listen to Fear of Music and Remain In Light some more. I agree with Speaking In Tongues as #1, but those two are closely tied for 2nd in my opinion. Little Creatures and True Stories sound very 80s pop to me and haven't aged as well as the others, but they do have excellent moments. Remain In Light ranked about Fear of Music for me on my listen through. Little Creatures and True stories most definitely have nostalgia value giving them the edge in my list. My biggest take away was that his set is rife with potential and that I undervalued his presence on the lineup. Yes, even the worst Talking Heads is still good Talking Heads. Now you need to dig into Byrne's solo stuff, which I confess I have not explored as much as I probably should. He was the main song writer for TH, so his solo stuff is a similar style. Not matter how you slice it, David Byrne is a fucking musical legend and we are damn lucky to have him on the lineup.

1. Speaking in Tongues 2. 77 3. True Stories Everything else. Enjoyed the hell out of listening to the Talking Heads discography. Some portions like Fear of Music had me dangerously close to taking an accidental snooze in the office, but I'll attribute that to it being 9 am. Other than that I've really like Byrne's interesting voice, and I was shocked to realize how much of Little Creatures I knew without ever knowing it was by the Talking Heads. Scratch that last remark, I was just shocked while listening through realizing how many of these songs are ones I enjoy, but never knew truly who the Talking Heads were until this year. I love music from this time (The Cars - Heartbeat City, Bruce Springsteen - Born in the U.S.A [I'm Goin' Down is one of my favorite songs], and probably a good deal of other classics), but I never really put a name to a lot of the music until today that I found in this discography. I'm jacked to see David Byrne now and I feel so lucky that I'm hearing someone that got to help produce a lot of old music that I would sing along to on car rides with my mom, and subsequently on car rides by myself. Genuinely one of the cooler "legacy acts" if you will that Sasquatch has gotten in recent years, and I can only hope that he does a few of his TH songs along with some new and old solo work. Sounds to me like you need to listen to Fear of Music and Remain In Light some more. I agree with Speaking In Tongues as #1, but those two are closely tied for 2nd in my opinion. The National: A band that sounds like it will put you to sleep and it will

There really is lots of great and exciting rock on this lineup. I'm pretty blown away by almost every new artist I discover in my research. Even people who argue that Bon Iver and The National are snoozers of headliners will be surprised by how hard hitting their live shows can be. It certainly won't be the Sleepysquatch that a few ignorant people have claimed. "Bands that sound like they'll put you to sleep, but we swear they won't" seems to be a common theme this year. I think EITS and Slowdive fall into that category too.

Also, Alex Lahey is confirmed via her website. alexlahey.com.au/tour Is their any way we could get some type of color code going on the infographic up top, so as differentiate between the speculative and the confirmed? There is a daily lineup thread with the acts confirmed for each day. These thread are more for trying to sort them down to the hourly schedule, which is difficult to do until the daily is sorted.

I definitely confused them with White Denim at first, who has also played Sasquatch in the past. Not to confuse with White Stripes. I discovered White Reaper on Roo's lineup last year, and these guys are great. We have a high quality of kind of rock artists (White Reaper, PUP, Japandroids, Pond even), that I'm extremely excited for. Yes. I was listening to White Reaper last night and this morning and thinking there is a good portion of good old fashioned rock and roll on this lineup. I'm honestly still surprised we didn't get Greta Van Fleet because they fall in that same category, but I think the genre is well represented nonetheless.
