I enjoy premiere camping because of the availability of free hot showers ( I have never waited more than 5 minutes and I find it a good way to "reset" myself for the next round of awesomeness). The Thunder closets are cleaned more often as well.
The spaciousness of the sites is also great because there is less chance of people stumbling through your camp (the obnoxious/incoherent kind of stumbling which leads to falling on or through your tent). Personally I also feel there is less theft. Maybe it's because it's not as crowded so people are not wondering in and out of sites that are not theirs as much(I have a lot of friends who have been ripped off in District 9, although single day tickets could have also attributed to that... or just assholes).
Also, with the camping area being bigger it allows for the ability to walk to a party or to take some space and catch some sleep (I find it a bit quieter). For me however the best part is the shuttle as I have been going with my 2 kids and at 1 a.m. it's nice to catch a ride back to the campsite as they are usually pretty bagged from going so hard all day!
All that being said, if you have never done District 9 then you haven't had the full Sasquatch experience!

Tickets were just released (Feb. 22nd) at face value through Live Nation. I just had a friend go to the Sasquatch website and click on "buy tickets" and it worked. You're welcome.

Love the Phish story Wonk. I remember back in the day when we would pull up to a grocery store or truck stop close to a venue where the Dead would be playing and be able to meet dozens of other people going. Building a rapport with the potential ticket seller was key. I have been "miracled" before with a finger in the air and also by simply having a "need a miracle" sign on my dashboard.
Alas, those days are gone and Wonk is right, every year is different. Last year the tickets lasted a very long time due to the expectation of single day passes being released. This year most folks finally accepted that single days are gone and I foresee Sasquatch being a festival that sells out quickly because of this.
My rule of thumb for purchasing tickets off of people that will not be able to use them is this: I will usually pay around $20-25 more than face value if I really want to go because I know from experience that when you buy tickets for a group of friends and then one bails they probably haven't paid the buyer yet so that person is stuck with the ticket. Sure everyone pays for their tickets eventually but there is still the credit card interest to factor in, and I am willing to help with that. With tickets and whatever else is on a credit card + all the interest from hanging onto a ticket from a possible presale purchase in November until they sell it (say May)... well anyways, I wouldn't lose sleep or feel like I am supporting scalping at around $20 above face.
BUT MAKE SURE YOU WAIT UNTIL THE WRISTBANDS ARE ISSUED UNLESS YOU KNOW THE PERSON!

I feel for the girl the girl/noob who was banned. I seemed to have started off on the wrong foot as well. In a witty retort to a comment made about me HG jumped in for some season and the two of us had jabs at one another. After having acouple guys came at me it kinda felt like a Frat boy hazing where everyone is trying to see what the noob is made of. HG and I went back and forth, done was done, no harm no foul. I definitely didn't come here to make enemies or bring (or receive) any negativity. I get that alot of you have been here awhile so it's fun stickin' it to the noobs, maybe sometimes it goes abit too far. Anyways, I just thought I'd offer that up, just an opinion. Hope we're cool HG. Don't think you're out of jail because HG likes you now. I don't believe in frat boy hazing. I welcome all noobs, always have. I believe in telling people who make stupid fucking comments how stupid their fucking comments are. I error on the side of coddling noobs actually. You made a stupid fucking comment in the balloon thread, and I called you out for it. Then you made stupid fucking replies including, "lol u mad bro," followed by the ultra pretentious "I've seen Primus, and you haven't, you would understand if you've seen them," followed by, "I'm ready to battle any of you motherfuckers who disagree with me." You followed that with, "bring it on, I'm ready to battle," before stating, "I'm above internet battles," which is also extremely pretentious. By the time I had a chance to respond, the rest of the board had already told you how fucking stupid your idea is, so I didn't need to add to the fury. I have no problem with anyone on this board, but if you feel the need to spout off stupid shit, I will call you out for it. Just because HG likes you doesn't mean I do. Pro tip: A phrase starting with the letter "a" doesn't mean it should be combined into one word. For example, "A sshole" is not a word, just like "acouple," "alot," or "abit," are not words. Thank me later. ouch, my feeling. if all you got is punctuation and grammar then you better step back son. Once again here you are late to the party still going off about shit that went on light years ago. If your dick is as big as your ego then your girlfriend must me one happy lady. What's done is done, get the fuck over it.

Aww, don't do that 5kater. I was just getting attached to it. Anyway, doesn't matter, because if you stick around for any great period of time you'll find that most of us are going to keep referring to you as 5kater anyway. WHOA! 5kater is back!

We're cool, 5kater. Don't feel bad for the girl/noob, though; the difference between her and you is that you apparently have a sense of humor, whereas she was obviously looking for offense. For the record, what tipped the scales was that she immediately resorted to reporting posts while I was still actively trying to help her. It's not like she was looking to be a part of this community anyway; she was just looking for the kind of information that rich assholes need. I might even have ended up regretting it if I hadn't gotten more than a dozen emails from her over the course of yesterday afternoon in which she said plenty of things which would have gotten her legitimately banned. So we can just say that I had a premonition and leave it at that. Oh hey, biff: fuck you. I may not be able to ban you -- although obviously that hasn't stopped me in the past, wonk wonk wonk -- but I CAN turn every last one of your idiotic posts into gifs of a squirrel digging a hole in the ground, if I want. I may be a little bitch, but at least I'm not a shitty meathead bro who is incapable of intellectual argument and threatens strangers with violence over the internet as if you were able to reach through your computer screen and punch me in the nose. If I'm a little bitch, then this little bitch is one shit-fucking-ton smarter than you, and that's more than enough for me. Fucker. Cool. Just for that I have removed the "5kater" from my "darth5kater" and my visible name will now be Darth, just for you HG

<<< Re-Boot >>> I am trying to Dr. Garbanzoure out what to print on the beach balls. My thoughts are ball in one color, and then this years logo with the boom-box-squatch. Maybe 100 24" balls each of 5 different color patterns. Red - Back / Yellow - Black / Tan - Black / White - Black / Light Green - Black. 500 total. But then there is the risk that as they go out, people will just deflate them and pocket them as free souvenirs. Thoughts? I had the same concern when I had a bunch printed up a few years back. I decided to set up an e-mail account and had that e-mail printed on the balls with the words "photos please". I thought that if I'm going to absorb the cost I might as while see where they end up. I only got 6 e-mails out of 25 but they were from all over the U.S and Canada. One was a pic of a ball in Mexico and the guy gave it to some village kids and they were playing with it so that was cool. Kinda made it worth it.

Darth5kater is by far the worst noob. From the idiotic username to the use of 'u mad bro' to the... everything. Just everything. 'What's more 3D than gettin' bonked on the head by stupid shit durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr?' Oh my god and holy shit, though -- I thought he couldn't possibly be older than twenty years old, twenty-one tops. What the hell is wrong with you, dude? Ok, HG, here it is- to clarify, the term "you mad bro" was used in jest to reply to a comment I felt was equally as immature as that saying. I apologize that I did not make that more obvious. But using a term like "durrrrrr" and making fun of my name doesn't really drive home your arguement of age and maturity now does it? Listen, I said this days ago and I'll say it again, it's a non issue. I made a suggestion, it was said to be a poor choice, the end. I had hoped these forums would be full of free thought, but if someone is going to publicly attack me a week later about my free thought then the bottom line is I will obviously make sure that person knows I am aware of their actions and I will counter. lets face it, if your gonna step into the ring than you better know how to box. Bottom line, I joined this community because I thought I would be entering a group of people who enjoy talking Sasquatch more than creating major-drama out of mini-drama. I understand there will be arguements and disagreements, and sarcasm is key, but one has to realise that when an honest suggestion is made and then put down, there will come a time when the issue should be put to rest. This one was pages ago. I was at the very first Sasquatch and plan on being at the last, or at least for however long I last. Point being, I love this festival and that's why I'm here. You wanted to know what's wrong with me, well I hope this has covered it. Happy to move on now....
