I've been lucky in the 10 or so years I've been crossing the border. I've only been pulled inside once and it's because we were 18 and in a car we bought for $300 that had temporary insurance on it. We've also never been dumb enough to try to get away with anything. I have a feeling we'll get pulled over this year because we'll be in a rental vehicle and with 2 people we don't actually know that well. Admittedly, I don't believe it has much to do with luck. You're a good customer at the border; you have a record of entering and returning and therefore are not a risk to the US to stay there permanently and become an alien. ...hopefully the two strangers have a similar record with the US border.

Nah, a lot of people have turned 30 recently, another one coming up soon, but I hit 30 already. And sorry dude, I don't know any mature Canadians. I guess when I said mature, I meant aged... The song is way more catchy than the hairstyle.

DAMMIT BRAD, I read through that whole thing anxiously waiting for you to answer Cat's question to find that you DIDN'T. Sorry Lump. answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090714123916AAYjVRrP.S. I like how you bordered your comment with caps locks. It looks elegant. Elegant like portraits in front of cherry blossoms

Seriously, I don't know who needs forty-five fucking minutes to walk between the campground and the venue. Well, the walk is three-beers long. I guess it takes 45 minutes for some individuals to drink 3 beers.

Has anyone thrown their TOMS in the washing machine? I've considered it because they're rank, but I'm worried it'll ruin the lining. Cat, I have a confession...I impulse bought a pair of Toms based on certain individuals admiration for them. I got them last week in the mail (only took two days to deliver) and can't stop wearing them. They work just as well as slippers as they are for going out gear. Smart enough to wear at work as well. They will make an appearance at Sasquatch, when I am tired of my Rainbows. You should take a commission from Toms

Sentimental comments, awkwardly hilarious videos, naked avatar dude photos, you guys realy do care (sniffle). Happy Belated Gunther! ...If I recall correctly, was this number 30 for you? If so, welcome to your Wiser's* years. Start growing your Kim Mitchell short long* before you have nothing left on top. *Please talk to a mature Canadian for more information on these references. Then go for a soda.

Now Brad, there's a guy who actually posts once every four days or so. Probably even less. I'm gonna respond to this, but not until Sunday.

That's because WSS is AZ. WSS/AZ sure looks old for being what, like 23? And where does he get the time to book bands while studying Roe vs Wade?

It actually doesn't surprise me that stubhub was unable to sell their tickets at incredibly inflated prices, and upon seeing so many private sales happening at or near face value, that they chose to sell them back to ticketmaster for sale at the regular price. Ugh Ticketmaster... ugh. I definitely expected something like this would happen...My opinion is that Ticketmaster held a VERY LARGE number of tickets back for their wholly owned secondary ticket market company; TicketsNow. This was done to test the market on how high these tickets would sell for, and also to keep the market for a ticket overvalued. Once they realized these secondary tickets were not going to sell out, they released them at face value. Then fans who didn't get tickets right away are all happy; so TM gets away with it. Not sure if Stub-hub tried to sell tickets back as well...but that is certainly possible. Also HG and Stormy, your (and likely others) vigilance on informing people to avoid the Scalpers likely have had a hand in getting so many tickets back to the consumer at face-value pricing. Kudos to you. I personally have nothing against small time scalpers, and I do believe they have a role in the live entertainment industry. However I am not cool with Ticketmaster monopolizing both sides of the market.

@fd I definitely am all of those things and well aware that it biases my viewpoints. I'm not trying to look at anything in a vacuum, but I also think that considering what constraints might be imposed on how social systems are constructed based on the basic ways in which people are wired are important to consider. I don't think we are as far from reconciling our viewpoints as it looks like- I think there is a great deal of evil in the world, and there are definitely parts of the porn industry that exemplify our evils. I am not myself a huge supported of the porn industry, though I'd be lying if I said I've never watched porn. I do however think the issue is with more legitimate forms of objectification, as they are a whole lot more tractable than the influence of socialization. It hasn't been said here elporko, but I appreciate the thought and effort you have put into your posts thus far, especially given the unpopularity of your opinion on this board. I enjoyed reading the point-counterpoint with you and FD. Stay away from PM's if you think it may be relevant conversation for the group. I am just entirely unsympathetic to blanket statements which lack any qualification. Sorry man, I didn't mean to make you have to use your brain to figure out what on earth I could have been talking about. I will be sure to explore evey nook and cranny in order to eliminate all fringe elements of any topic in order for you to make sense of what is going on. That was the last one. Now, talking time.... Friendly, this is an A+ post and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. When you refrain from the excessive PC condescension, you can be an incredibly persuasive commenter.
