I did not once mention any shows in this thread at any time until AFTER this post .... i've totally seen The National more times than E Maybe you should direct your tirade in another direction. Maybe you should hate on all your boardmates since it is not me that brings up the number of shows but I simply respond. I keep a gigography because I would not even remember who I have seen if it was not for it. I discovered this after I was asked who I saw at my first Coachella shortly succeeding the festival. Feel free to share yours with me; I often find a reason to see someone that would not have found its way on my radar when going through someone's gigography. E

I cannot see your FB.
I have never seen The Killers because they never play here in Las Vegas, primarily because Brian Flowers is a cunt (and they no showed the one time I was supposed to see them in 2007 [Incubus come through and played a surprise last-minute set, so it worked out]).
I have been to see/hear the same artist for far longer than four consecutive nights, but to answer your question: because I like the live music that is being played. Ask a deadhead why they went to so many Grateful Dead shows.

I do not go to shows with the pretense that I will show lists to people who will later judge whether the shows are cool or otherwise. I don't give a shit. I go to shows I want to go to; you go to shows you want to go to. To each their own. It is quite easy to talk shit about someone's gigography when you keep your own private. But then again, I don't give a shit. If you do not recognise 90% of the artists in my gigography, you must never go to music festivals; a good percentage of them are booked because they can play well live. Sorry there is no one from Edmonton.

Do the Teddybears spin at your bar?
There are two deejays within the top twenty artists I have seen live. Hardly can be thought of comprising the entirety of list, but whatever makes you feel better about yourself. I hate to repeat myself but to each their own.

I have seen/heard DJ Fresh One spin eight times; your hyperbole is Republicanesque.

It sucks that all you have is sasquatchfest.proboards and your unhealthy obsession with what I am doing or have done.

More festivals are being curated and held now more than ever; that could explain some of it.

If the basics are not even close to being factual, then the story was concocted out of someone's own homoerotic fantasies.

Ronnie Dunn was the right choice because it was just down the street and free. Also, I had seen LCD Soundsystem five times. Lastly, I had seventy-one [71] shows that I had to attend in April and May in fourteen states.
In summary, to each his own. I am sure you did a lot more show-wise with your time in April/May 2011, dipshit. And you were at all the final LCD Soundsystem shows including all Terminal Five sets.

I never said Foster The People were "cool". I would appreciate the false-quoting to be held at a minimum, as no one likes for another jackoff to proverbially put words into one's mouth.
I have seen Foster The People eleven times, not ten. I noticed a glitch in the SK database while verifying to see when I had seen them. Bulk of the shows were in March 2011, which is not summer.
I have only seen LCD Soundsystem five times due to the aforementioned reasons. It is great that you were at Murphy's last show (so far) with the group, but the fact that Arcade Fire was on stage with him/them was not a selling point for the show I am sure. The fact that they were playing music that they had never before played live was the selling point. Anyone who had been to the 2007 co-headlining Arcade Fire/LCD Soundsystem tour saw them together on stage already, and for more than one song. HG shows great immaturity as well as lack of knowledge in tours past when he acts like I have never seen LCD Soundsystem in concert, since they have toured with Arcade Fire. I did not attend the final show because I had a quite heavy April and May as it was, and was instead at Ronnie Dunn that night. I was asked about the final show, so I will now elaborate further on it, not to boast or proclaim wealth, but because it is true. I did not attend, but if I made the decision to go the MSG show, I would have gone to all of the Terminal Five shows as well. I do not believe that was their last show ever so I am not too concerned with never being able to see them in concert. I will see them in concert again.

I first saw Foster The People in April of 2010; and if memory serves me correct the bulk of the shows I caught were in the spring before commercial radio became obsessed with playing their first single.

Cool. I always had to skip them (and The Decemberists and LCD Soundsystem) at festivals I attended because I was camping at the barrier for another artist on the same day they were playing. That line should grow significantly in the next years as I have abandoned that practice, and aim to broaden my touring to other artists with the scheduled forthcoming Arcade Fire hiatus. Other artists such as Fitz & The Tantrums and Explosions In The Sky should be pooping the entire lower lines off the pyramid.

They cannot be as good as board favourite's Animal Collective and The Flaming Lips, of course, though.
