Had some Bear Republic brew today - the Racer 5 IPA to be specific. It was good, the finish was a little harsher than I would have hoped though. Still a very solid IPA.

I would suggest the Chemical Brothers but I don't know how that floats with some of the folks on here

I had an Ethiopian brewed Stout at a restaurant yesterday (don't remember the name) which was surprising. It was the weight of a red ale, but had nice chocolate notes like a good stout should. Pretty tasty, and was perfect along with the spicy abyssinian cuisine that I ate alongside.

This is why Skrillex is one of the greatest living guitarists Yeah, after mastering the bass guitar he went on to invent dubstep. Pretty awesome!

Unrelated, as I've given the new deadmau5 album a couple of listens, it's growing on me. A lot more than Bassnectar's latest effort which feels kinda flat compared to Divergent Spectrum.

So, they say "2 Unique Experiences". Which for me translates into "2 different line-ups, and we're splitting the good acts across both weekends SO YOU NEED TO BUY TICKETS TO BOTH!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Bjorrito gave the performance of a lifetime in Dancer in the Dark. She reaches right through the screen and tugs at your heart. She beautifully portraited the plight of a single mother living in poverty and dealing with a disability. I tend to agree about Lars Von Trier and the roles he writes for women, however I find that in some cases (Dancer in the Dark, Dogville, Melancholia) the female lead, however tortured and beaten down, shines through as an enlightened badass by the end. Bjorrito accomplished this. She was courageous, strong, inspirational, effervescent- to associate the word "trash" with Bjorrito & Dancer in the Dark is just foolish. I've generally equated B.jork's performance in Dancer in the Dark with Charlize Theron's performance in Monster. If you've never seen Monster, it's something you need to put on your list. It's pretty potent stuff. I own the soundtrack, and there are a few songs I actually can't bear to listen to often, not because they're bad songs, but because they're beautiful and evoke too much emotion.

Sgt. Pepper is probably my personal favorite Beatles album, which is also probably board suicide. I'll retreat to the Coachella, EDM, and Mastication, and Beer threads now...

I emailed a prof tonight to see if they would "supervise" me in grad school. A large reason I picked this prof was because he is hot. There's nothing wrong with me.

Yeah, all these pool parties I've been going to have left me quite exhausted. So exhausted that when I come home I barely have enough energy to go swimming in the pool here at home. And don't even get me started about how every time I go to the beach I end up getting sand in my car. How can I be expected to live in such a terrible place?

My girlfriend called me a hipster for reading a Beatles biography the other day which depressed me about the state of youth A true hipster would have been reading A Clockwork Orange. You sir are clearly just a wannabe hipster.

Digital meat thermometer. It's honestly the best kitchen device I own. Yeah I can tell when meat is cooked, but when it's cooked absolutely perfect, it's on a whole other level. You can get one at superstore for under $30. They have a probe that you can leave in the meat while in the oven or BBQ and it will transmit the temp wirelessly to a meter you can keep on your belt. It has different meat settings and will beep when it's close to done. Shax, don't give away the secret! Now all of my friends will make their own roast beef and prime rib instead of coming over to my place. On second thought, that will leave more for me...

Totally untrue. There are at least 8 buttons he can choose from, not just 4.

I was going to do this list untili you started throwing curveballs like NIN, Massive Attack and KMFDM into the picture. Now I'm not even going to attempt to try it. Well 'electronic music' is pretty broad and I did that for a reason. A list of the top 10 trance DJs of all time isn't nearly as interesting.

for Glastonbury? Nope. The move upset a lot of things, including festival planning. Until you've moved from one country to another you can't imagine how much time / energy it takes.
