You obviously don't rock a stache on a regular basis. Protip for the itchiness: hair conditioner. After a month or two it won't itch anymore, but in the meantime... Haha. No I don't rock the stache on a regular basis. If anything, I'd grow a big ass beard, but by wife hates facial hair and I'll respect that. I will take the conditioner advice though! Thanks. I totally understand. The wife always wins! I'm fortunate in that my BF prefers me with a full beard, and is generally happy with my various experiments in facial hair so long as I'm not clean-shaven. Which works perfectly well for me.

My 'stache is itchy as fuck and I hate it. I look like a windowless cargo van driving pornstar try hard. 12 days left!! You obviously don't rock a stache on a regular basis. Protip for the itchiness: hair conditioner. After a month or two it won't itch anymore, but in the meantime, hair conditioner FTW...

Burritos in San Diego are generally better than those in the Desert / Coachella Valley. Depending on the timing I can pick some up in SD as we depart and distribute them when we arrive.

SOULY!
If you have questions re: the drive let me know. I know a few good/cheap places to stop en route.
Plus, I know where there are good burritos in SoCal. Although I suppose it's not much of a secret...

I only vaguely remember the conversation. I didn't buy a camping pass because I was going to jump in with someone else...but I have no idea who. Nater and Shax? Shax has one or more camping passes... not sure...

There was a big discussion about this when the pre-sale happened, but i'm not sure of all the details any longer. The first post on here is a bit devoid of details.
All I know is: 1. Shax has my ticket, and is going to deliver it in person 2. Pea and Mrlahey are flying to SD 3. The three of us are driving up and camping together, I would assume arriving Thursday.
If we're going to attempt a wal-mart meet up / camping coordination, Thursday afternoon is probably the best time.

Lots of options if you search Amazon and other retailers. If you want to try something even cheaper that at least one Amazon reviewer claims does the same thing more or less, you can buy some foam yoga blocks. I didn't try that myself.
The idea is that you isolate your speakers from the surface they're sitting on using acoustic foam. it's hardly innovative but it seems to work pretty well.

It looks like I'm moving into nicer digs in Dec pending the bank lending me some money, and the new place is a condo where I'm a little worried about sound transfer from my audio system given the flooring is hardwood. So, I bought some acoustic foam speaker and subwoofer stands from Amazon. They arrived the other day so I figured I'd try them out in my current apartment where the living room is carpeted. I'm actually pretty surprised at the difference in sound although I suppose I shouldn't be given how speakers work.
My large front speakers do sound a bit crisper, but the subwoofer... wow what a difference. It's way less boomy / muddy and much nicer to listen to. Considering I spent all of about $100 total for all of the foam stands (sub and 5 speakers), I'm pretty happy with the result. I'm sure my downstairs neighbours at the new place will also be much happier when I decide to crank it up.

Sooooooooooo what are your thoughts on a polygamous relationship with Megatron and I? Hahaha well, I know how it would end: 'nater would be our live-in fourth and we'd all weigh 300+ pounds and die of congestive heart failure in our 40s.

4. How to Move to Canada Blah, blah. I'm moving to Canada and this makes sure I cross my Ts and dot my Iballs and what the fuck evvvvvvvvver. I read a similar book when I moved here, and it was pretty useful. Much more useful in reality than the numerous conversations I had with other Canadian expats who moved to the USA. Some of those conversations were useful, but a lot of things have turned out pretty differently for me than it did for them. Ultimately, it all boils down to this: Don't fuck with immigration and they probably won't fuck with you (too much). It's their game, but if you play by their rules, I'm sure it will all be fine, even if it takes a loooooong time for some things.

I thoroughly enjoyed the new Bond film, despite the fact the plot was heavily borrowed from Charlies Angels: Full Throttle. In the Daniel Craig James Bond era, I'd rank this one #2. While I got a major kick out of all the throwback Bond references, it just wasn't on the same level as Casino Royale in terms of quality. Still, it's much better than Quantum of Solance and probably the 3rd best James Bond film in the past 30 years. I agree it's the second best Daniel Craig Bond, but in my books that's not saying much given that it only has to be a smidge better than Quantum of Solace to achieve that. 3rd best James Bond film in 30 years? I have to disagree completely on that. Casino Royale is probably in the top 3-5, but Skyfall is still not as good as most of the Brosnan bond movies in my opinion.

Daft Punk is more likely than ever before. I wouldn't rule them out 100% I think of this as "100 times more likely than 0% is still 0%."

When we come down to visit JDawg pre/post Coachella I have a feeling my entire diet will consist of fish tacos, burritos and key lime pie. Yea...when I fly in to SD before we leave my only request (other than the obligatory grocery stop) is for him to take me to his favorite burrito shack. Lolita's in Kearny Mesa. It's on the way-ish to Palm Springs from where I live, by coincidence.

Living in San Diego has given me a newfound appreciation for the burrito. It was already awesome, but it turns out it can be even awesomer than I realized.
My dinner tonight in 4 words: Carne asada burritos. Delicious.
