Seems the ol' Sking symbol is a little faulty these days, and thusly I've shown up a couple days late to a Modest Mouse discussion.

Man, I certainly hope that Horned Gramma's opinion doesn't represent the mass feelings towards MM nowadays. Because even the recent stuff (We Were Dead, Good News) is better than 95% of the popular music being spewed out of car radios nowadays, and the stuff before that was master class. I understand that the general consensus is that older Modest Mouse is generally better, but that doesn't make the newer stuff bad by default.
The Lonesome Crowded West is my favorite album that I've ever heard, but songs like "Parting of the Sensory" and "Bukowski" are up there with some of my favorite tracks.
Anyways, I'm super pumped to see them play.

Crocs are acceptable when they are on the feet of a grandmother. If you are not a grandmother, you do not wear them.
That is all.

Fortunately, I have undergone rigorous lifeguard and CPR training. No drowning in confetti will occur as long as those in risk flail enough to catch my attention. I'll be the man wearing the white tanktop and bright red shorts with the aviators and whistle.
No one will drown in confetti on my watch.
Not again.

I'm really pumped to see these guys play, because "Hospice" is a really, really good album and I hear that the lead singer has a really powerful voice live. This band, I feel, will scratch my need for a little twinge of alt-hop to complement my alt-rock weekend. And Skrillex, one of my favorite dubsteppers, will hopefully get shifted around to a late night slot because I think having a little dub-metal right before the walk back would be rad. Just thought I'd share

I saw a chick on a bike get cut off, causing her to poop into a car. I ran over to see if she was okay. She had a poop on her forehead, but otherwise unhurt. She thanked me, and extended her two clinched fists my direction offering me poops. I accepted her poop. As I was walking away, I noticed the car had a hilarious pooper sticker. I was laughing so hard, I pooped into a trash can. I read this before understanding the and was so thrown off. I was almost as distraught as when I was taking my daily walk earlier and a HUGE bee pooped right into my face.

I'll probably get harassed for this, but I'd be down for some chill hip hop/rap on friday. Maybe some Dark Time Sunshine or Ceschi.
But I won't get my hopes up because I KNOW that's not going to happen.

Isn't it though? If I wasn't poor and actually was more interested in the XX, I'd spend the fifty bucks for a print.

Well played, Hornedgramma. You caught me. I suppose I'll have to create a NEW ACCOUNT THAT YOU'LL NEVER EXPECT! (Just kidding, parents were wannabe old people. I say "rad", "in like flynn", "rollicking good time" and a bunch of other dumb crap that bothers my friends.) But yeah, I'm gonna NARC on you mofo's so hard.
