There is some hilarity on full display in the comments of the official FB announcement.

Love the optimism. I think Rooneys bicycle to lift them over City this weekend convinced me it's their year. Dude. When is it NOT Utd's year? Recently? When it's Chelsea's.

I also think they may as well hand the Premiership title to United now, I'll be shocked if anyone is able to catch them at this point. Here's my position on that... Utd still have 2 games against Chelsea, 1 against Arsenal, and 1 against Liverpool. Arsenal have 1 against Utd and one against Liverpool. Arsenal have an easier schedule. Utd will drop some points. I think Arsenal will win the season with 85 points. Utd will finish with 83. Love the optimism. I think Rooneys bicycle to lift them over City this weekend convinced me it's their year.

The organizers weren't really prepared. I waited in a lineup of idling cars for close to four hours just to get parked. Then another hour to get a bus from my parking spot to the campsite - having to carry everything we needed for the entire weekend with us. They hosted it in a dusty field. It looked like a scene out of Mad Max. Plus, when you have Jay-Z and Tom Petty headline the the same festival, you get a trashy mix of people attending. Saw a bunch of drunken brawls, didn't feel safe leaving personal belongings in my tent, etc. All in all I had a horrible experience.
That all said, I know a bunch of people who had a blast. I just think after attending a few 'Squatch festivals, which are generally the best weekend of the year hands down, this was a big disappointment.

I think if Nasri was fit, tomorrow may go a little differently, but as it stands I'm not very optimistic about their CL chances. I also think they may as well hand the Premiership title to United now, I'll be shocked if anyone is able to catch them at this point.

Ugh. If I could pick a 'worst festival attended' it would have to be Pemberton.

Ticket brokering is almost as lucrative as message board psychiatric assessment.

I'm an Arsenal fan, but will almost always (Chelsea being the major exception) cheer for an English team over an Italian team in CL. I really like Tottenhams style of play. Both our teams really got tough draws this leg though, eh?

AF bailing last minute makes sense to me based on the lineup we did get - Wilco / MM being promoted to a headlining slot. It makes me wonder if there might be some budget left over for a decent addition to Friday. The rate of ticket sales may deter spending to get another sub-headliner style act though.

I know there are a few soccer fans on here, and the knockout stage begins today. Anyone able to catch the games? Tottenham - AC Milan should be well worth the risk involved in taking a two hour lunch break at work.

Bought mushrooms an illicit substance off a guy last year while his 3(ish) year old was watching. No thought of being discreet while the little guy was around. That kids dad is way cooler than my dad...

Not a bad lineup, but there are more bands I am excited to see at Sasquatch. The headliners are definitely more buzz-worthy, but if attendance really is 80k, it's not like I'd have the dedication to get close enough to enjoy them anyways. Knowing I can spend my morning/early afternoon drinking in the camp site, my day stage hopping and still set up shop on the hill if I choose to for the headliner, is a huge part of what makes Sasquatch enjoyable.

Atrocious quality, but the only version I could find. While I hate pretty much everything Jimmy Fallon does, his Neil Young impersonation is spot on.

Can I start a Them Crooked Vultures rumor thread based on this rumor thread and FF playing Friday? It all adds up....

Something has to be added to Friday if the show is slated to start at 5:00. I really hope there is a late set in the dance tent or on the second stage so that its not just FF straight to a camp ground gong show.

I have a feeling there will be a lot of all-day-campsite-partying concert goers who will be baffled as to why there is a major bottle neck at the gates right before DFA1979 comes on.
