Who knows, maybe a knitter playing the festival could be convinced to swing by for a surprise crochet set.

My guess is that weekend passes will go really fast now. If single day tickets for Sat/Sun are being scalped for anywhere near $150 (which I think is where they will be set at) then it makes sense to just grab a four day pass now while they last.

I love this idea as long as it is taking place on the opposite side of the campground from where I set up.

QOTSA or TVOTR. I'll take either five letter acronym.

If they are really scanning bar codes to prevent in and out privileges, I am guessing they will exchange broken/cut off wrist bands for new ones. If that's the case, free entrance to the Monday show should be easy enough to find.

Seeing Chromeo last night made me wish Sasquatch was happening this weekend. The crowd was awesome. My only disappointment was when the Money for Nothing lick didn't materialize into a short cover song. I'm glad someone remembers the show. It's hazy at best.

Chromeo was great. I will write a better review in a bit when I'm more coherent. Seeing Chromeo last night made me wish Sasquatch was happening this weekend. The crowd was awesome. My only disappointment was when the Money for Nothing lick didn't materialize into a short cover song.

I really like Young The Giant.. You guys should check them out.. Here's two of my favourites Not bad. They might just become this years band that I have intentions of seeing but ultimately miss because they play early and my fellow campers would rather head to the show with a good buzz than catch a band they've never heard of.

I expect you won't get directly confronted during Bright Eyes set, but your antics may lead to a trending topic on Twitter.

Which makes me think: we need to consider the high visibility of something like this. If we establish the hugest fucking party site in the whole campground, um, we might get raided. I wouldn't woory about gettingt raided. it is more likely you would get joined by another 500 ppl. Late at night everyone looks for the biggest party. When that is established it just grows and grows. Eventually the Sasquatch security will show up and break it up, but i have never seen them raid a party. You have to give them serious reason to come after you. "Hey, there's that jerk who was yelling 'wrong kid died' this afternoon. Let's raid his campsite."

No, if Chromeo takes Ratatat's late night set, THAT will be a travesty Agreed, but they don't play on the same day.

Not to derail this thread, but I saw Chromeo play an amazing show last night. They are currently listed as playing the main stage in what I imagine will be an afternoon set. It will be a travesty if they are not moved to a late night slot.

I'd club a baby seal if they'd just add TVOTR to Friday. I think it is definitely possible. If it happens I hope they move Against Me to the main stage to open for FF, with TVOTR headlining the second stage.

The way I look at it, there are 20 or so acts that I would have no problem paying $15-$30 to see at a smaller venue. There are another half dozen acts that I have paid over $30 to see in the past, but would be on the fence about going to see again. Not out of dislike but more because my taste in music has changed. Case in point, I wouldn't even consider paying arena prices to see the Foo Fighters, but assuming there isn't a surprise conflict, I will enjoy their set on Friday night.
I think one of the major reasons for my initial disappointment is that Sasquatch has really been bringing the goods the last few years to try to be seen in the same light as the heavyweight festivals in North America. The last few years, I've been able to gain some sort smug mental satisfaction knowing that a lot of people were seeing our humble Sasquatch as the best music festival of the summer. The Pixies or Arcade Fire were never going to make or break my ability to enjoy the weekend, but would have added a buzz that DCFC or MM can't create.

The Flaming Lips are not known for 'skimping' on anything, ever. I envy anyone who is seeing the Flaming Lips for the first time. You will experience absolute pure joy, and that is not hyperbole. I think there is a chemical that the human brain produces only when you are watching the Flaming Lips perform. It's the most fun you can have with clothes on. THIS FOR REAL I saw them in a small, hot club during a heat wave in Munich in 2006. Midway through, an overweight, particularly sweaty, heavily intoxicated German directly in front of me decided to get naked. Not just shirtless, I'm talking full frontal nudity here (he might have kept his shoes on, not sure). He then proceeded to continue dancing / rubbing up against the rest of the crowd as if it wasn't horrifying everyone in the near vicinity. Needless to say, that was my cue to go grab another drink and find another vantage point for the rest of the evening. He left the show without his clothes as well, which makes me wonder both what the fuck security was being paid to do and how much extra he had to pay a cab driver to take him home. Anyways, long story short, while a Flaming Lips concert may not be the most fun you can have with your clothes off, it can still be enjoyed that way in some countries.

My guess is that they hold back a couple thousand single day tickets for the increased sale price and extra service charges. Complete guess though.

Forget selling food in the campsite, I'll set up a glow stick shop.
