I also peaked at Eric Andre. Eric Andre peaked at Eric Andre, after he ate the corn chips that Goldbeard gave him. And then went and moshed at Deafheaven. 2014 was a good year.

First time listening to Slowdive (KEXP set on youtube) and they are pretty enjoyable. I don't think I've understood a single lyric so far though Do yourself a favour and listen to Souvlaki. This shit at the gorge is going to be one of the most mindblowing things to ever hit Sasquatch.

Wait hold up... this lineup is VERY similar to 2015.... will we get a late add such a sleater-kinney? (st.vincent? or haim!??) Except 2015’s lineup came out broken down by day without a Friday headliner (I don’t care what anyone says, Of Monsters and Men were never meant to be headliners) and this year already has three headliners (four, if you count David Byrne). There might be more coming, but it won’t be anything as big as 2015 got. And I'm pretty sure that Sleater Kinney was already booked but they were waiting for them to play their Portland and Seattle shows before officially announcing them.

Their record didn`t do much for me... They still play a good chunk of Souvlaki and that's all that matters.

I've already seen every band that I want to see aside from Anderson Paak so there will probably be more once I dig through the lineup but for now:
1. David Byrne 2. Slowdive 3. Bon Iver 4. Anderson Paak 5. Grizzly Bear 6. Algiers 7. Japanese Breakfast 8. The National 9. Jeff Rosenstock 10. Thundercat

If Slowdive isn't on your list you're fucking up big time. THIS. I was in tears during their Portland show because it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever experienced.

SO you're all just watching sports now? What has this board become. I'm not. I'm spending my Super Bowl Sunday murdering dinosaurs in Monster Hunter.

I’ve never had a National record be an instant hit with me. It takes me nearly a year of putting it down and picking it up before I start to find the subtlety and then familiarity creeps in and all of the sudden I can’t stop listening to it and know all the words. Their entire catalog is a slow burn. Trouble Will Find Me instantly blew me away. But that was probably because I was on a National high after digging through all their previous records for the first time.

So what do we make of Portugal. The Man skipping Seattle on their current tour? Upstream maybe? And no War on Drugs? When they denied Sasquatch in the Reddit AMA they hinted at Bumbershoot so there's that.

Also like 80% of Project Pabsts lineup from last year is on there.

Not buyin it. It seems too good and also Jeff Rosenstock doesn't play festivals I thought?

As much as I like St Vincent and Modest Mouse, they are simply not headliners in 2018. 21 Pilots and C-h-a-n-c-e the Rapper were selling out 20k arenas last year. There is no way Sasquatch puts someone like St Vincent or Modest Mouse in the top three when they are not even selling out venues a tenth that size ... I am sure Modest Mouse gets a boost in their booking fees due to legacy, but I'm also sure that they are in no position to be demanding headliner levels of payment right now. So far the only festival they are playing is #3 at Forecastle, a fest that usually books maybe one or two real headliners and then the other headliners would be subs at best at a Sasquatch-sized festival (ie Weezer, Alabama Shakes, etc). Modest Mouse probably gets a poop to the front of the subs list due to legacy and local appeal, but if they are actual headliners then Sasquatch made some big mistakes this year. You seem to be forgetting that they headlined just 3 years ago on the same album cycle that they're on now. There's no reason to believe that they'd be downgraded in that amount of time.
