Got an email from the festival says the lineup coming out on Wednesay
Last year, Willamette Week posted the lineup the day before MFNW announced it would be released. Hopefully we get some news later today!
While I don't necessarily want to believe the who-MFNW-recently-followed-on-Twitter-will-play-this-year's-festival theory because I don't need any more Foster the People in my life, Modest Mouse seems like a no-brainer with a new album and no Portland date since last fall's Project Pabst.
I don't think MFNW usually gets headliners as big as Modest Mouse though do they?
As a rule, the whole 80s inspired synth-pop thing is not my bag, but Murder Vibes are just dark and dreamy enough for me. They've got a cool Depeche Mode thing going that really rustles my jimmies. I know they're still just local, but it's a damn shame that they are playing the smallest stage at 1:00 opposite the guy from Arcade Fire. I don't plan on missing them, even though I'm sure they'll be back with a proper time slot in the next couple years; I'm predicting big things from them. Anyways, get up early on Saturday and go see Murder Vibes.
Thanks for sharing. I'm actually really digging that track. I'll definitely be checking out their set.
So the new Kendrick album is already blowing up and getting crazy critical acclaim from just about everywhere. It looks like his first show following the release of To Pimp a Butterfly will be at Sasquatch. This is gonna be a really special set, I can feel it.
