This video has certainly been making the rounds. I've been sent it by a few friends, and I must say I quite enjoyed it. Much better than the original. What impressed me first is that he can play the guitar upside down. I hope that girl keeps up with her singing.

I went with "idk" just to even the score. I won't be coming from Oregon, but if you bring a keg of Deschutes I'll see you at the campground!

*edit* - We need more people like wolfhat for this reason: PS. I would love to see SOAD and don't care how well they'd fit in. BRING IT! And I stand by this. I've seen SOAD once and Serj Tankian solo once at well, and they were both fantastic shows. I've been a System fan since their first album (and have trailed off since then) and will always enjoy their music. Some of their clientele are less than desirable, but I really don't think one band would have that much of a negative affect on a 4-day festival. It's been said before but Friday in '06 the whole day was heavier music and attracted "that sort" of crowd. Regardless, I could see SOAD playing a headliner or subheadliner spot next to a more agreeable band like FF or Queens. It might not be the best of pairings, but Sasquatch has certainly done much worse.

Yea in the Wembley DVD dave gets behind the drums and taylor (the drummer) provided vocals as jimmy page and john paul jones joined them on stage for a couple zep songs. Pretty awesome stuff. I have to see this DVD. My girlfriend is a big FF fan so unless there's a big conflict for me I'll be joining her up front for their set. I wasn't that enthused to see them when I first saw they were playing, but this is giving me hope. Edit: PS. I would love to see SOAD and don't care how well they'd fit in. BRING IT!

explain to me how that is ironic. I think what doobies42(0) was getting at, now again this is just a guess, is that it's ironic that Americans would say EH? if they added an 'A' to Okanogan. I think the irony he is going for is that of an American saying a stereotypical Canadian slang. I'm not an English student, so I really couldn't tell you if that is irony, but I do think thats what he was getting at. like this Ok-an- EH?-gan. I think you are exactly right. But, thing is, it's pronounced the same way in Canada as it is in the States. That "a" has the same sound as the one in the word "saw." Pronunciation fail. I'm also pretty sure that is not irony. Grammar fail.

Chocolate + Oatmeal + Beer = WIN on so many levels. 3 to be exact. I made an oatmeal stout for the holidays, and it is delicious if I do say so myself. Just gotta get some chocolate flavor in there next time and I'd have the trifecta. Someone earlier mentioned a chocolate porter. If you're into these types of beer and are ever in BC you have to try the double chocolate porter made by Phillips. It tastes like a milkshake, and I can only ever have one but oh man is it good!

I meant literally in the clouds. As in his feet are not grounded on planet earth. As in Whoopsie lives in his own real life fantasyland, located somewhere literally in the clouds. But that was then... Smokey, this isn't Cloud City. This is Sasquatch. There are rules. Or at least that's what the kind folks at the Gorge would have us believe.

So, I tried the new Radiohead playlist last night and I was not blown away. I love both albums separately, and they definitely fit together surprisingly well, but I did not get the same eerie WTF feeling you get when you first experience the Dark Side of Oz. In fairness I was not giving it my full attention as I was doing other stuff around the house. If I try it again, next time I'll pay more attention, and I'll try and get the 10 second fade thing to work too. I feel like that would help.

Double Rainbow Guy is your favorite artist of all time? I have no clue what you are talking about. Apparently there are people out there who have not seen this:

Whoopsie literally has his head in the clouds, I no longer hold anything he says against him. This is a pet peeve of mine, and I know it was probably just an honest slip, but you reminded me of this comic that I thought I'd share with the board: theoatmeal.com/comics/literallyAnd just so I keep things on topic: theoatmeal.com/comics/beer

If you ever get a chance, there's a road that goes from Banff to Jasper. I've been told it's the most beautiful drive in the world. Icefields Parkway I think it's called. I was in Jasper for the first time this past September, and it was jaw-droppingly amazing. I camped at The Whistlers just outside of town and didn't drive the Icefields Parkway all the way to Lake Louise, but did explore the southern portion of the park. I saw countless waterfalls, vistas, glaciers, ice bergs, ice caves, and wildlife (elk are HUGE!) The Canadian Rockies are something else.
