Okay fixed. I think they'll be doing this later set times on wookie situation. Especially since the fest is selling out. They need to have more music later to spread out the crowd some. And hell-yeah on that BSS/Miike snow issue. It sucks. Not like I'm gonna miss national either. We can only hope we're wrong somehow Attachments:

Hey, I just wanted to post what I think is more correct of the schedule. I'm assuming knowidyuh is right thinking deadmau5 will be on against MMJ from like 1030 to 12ish (while MMJ will go like 10 to 1220 ish). So I figured they'd do something similar Sunday with that extra slot. Anyway, this is just what I speculated. Attachments:

yeah i mean, i like animal collective live a lot. depends on the show and the crowd.. and the mood you are in.
miike snow was kick ass. i don't know how they'll be outside in the daytime. and against BSS is very hard for people. as i just saw miike i'll probably see BSS. but miike snow is definitely something you want to experience. they really perform the emotions behind the song, not just the song itself.
ex: miike snow opened with burial. 8-10 minute intro. verse 1. chorus 1. dance party outro for 6 minutes. done. crazy applause.

i just saw miike snow in philly thursday night. it was a really stellar show. 6 guys on stage (singer playing guitar/keys, drummer, guy on guitar/bass, 3 guys on mixers and xylophones and drum pads and stuff).
the lights and smoke machine was great in the small club, not sure how the visuals will be at the festival.
but the music was awesome. they don't just replicate the album. they jam, similar to animal collective live.

Haha, I saw MGMT like that somewhere. Me too, at APW last year. I wasn't impressed, but who knows I didn't stay long enough to really give them a chance. It wasn't good. Who else did you see at APW? Did you see akron family?

I'm holding off on taking advantage of the ol' Sasquatch Record Club until the times come out; like, I don't want to start listening to The XX, get psyched, and then find out they're playing against LCD Soundsystem... Haha you should definetly listen to the xx anyway, definetly in the top 5 albums i got last year. Its hard to take out once you put it inDid we really miss the 'that's what she said?'

thanks for covering my back. i did get my ticket today. road trip from the east coast. perfect.
and as for big adds to help me avoid conflicts... the only big act i can see getting added is someone to fill before new pornographers. i hope it breaks up the monday afternoon and makes things a little easier. i really wish the antlers manned up and flew to seattle on the magic bus and then headed to boston with the national

buying my tickets today. i'm so excited.
the national portugal the man broken social scene dr dog cymbals eat guitars dirty projectors new pornographers mountain goats girls minus the bear
missing miike snow for BSS sucks. honorable mentions depending on conflict: the middle east, long winters, mumford & sons, tallest man on earth, midlake, vetiver, NO AGE, japandroids, she & him, passion pit...
the middle of monday is crazy packed. they have to add 3 still so hopefully it pushes japandroids earlier.

i don't feel like writing a lot so i'll just give you quick synopses for your synapses.
saturday:
broken social scene: MUST SEE. absolutely incredible. Outside Lands in 08. they collab a lot so expect 10+ people on stage. new album out may 4th. listen: 7/4 shoreline, stars and sons, almost crimes, kc accidental, fire eye'd boy, hotel, swimmers..
minus the bear: saw them this past month. the guitarist is godly. you should all know them since they live in NW. listen: knights, ice monsters, throwin shapes, dr l'ling
portugal. the man: cmj 09 x2, spring 09 and fall 08. MUST SEE. new album out march 2nd. absolutely stellar love show. listen: church mouth, telling tellers tell me, the bottom, guns and dogs, and i, never pleased, 1989..
sunday:
dirty projectors: gave my tickets up, i was moving summer 09. he said the girls on vocals were ridiculous and he was blown away. listen: cannibal resource, stillness is the move, two doves
the tallest man on earth: dec 08 opening for bon iver. his passion in his folk songwriting is awesome. new album out april 13th. listen: the gardner, where do my bluebirds fly, i won't be found
cymbals eat guitars: fall 09 opening for pains of being pure at heart. pavement and early modest mouse hybrid? frontman kicked ass live. best 09 debut hands down and album 2 is out this year. MUST SEE. listen: their debut "why there are mountains" front to back.
monday: MGMT: fall 08 opening for BECK! and at apw 09. first show was so much better. the crowd will dance either way. new album out april 13. listen: well you already know them, so listen to the back half of the album instead of the popular stuff. it's better anyway.
she & him: summer 08. everyone loves zooey. m ward is better. he's one of the best guitarists in the world. new album march 23. listen: anything.
temper trap: cmj 09 before portugal. aussie band who needs to get noticed here. they have everything to be popular. catchy, poppy, rockie, early u2 and coldplay sound? listen: sweet disposition, fader, love lost, down river.
dr. dog: summer 09. MUST SEE. the beatles successor with 30 years in between. everyone can love this band. literally everyone. new album april 6. listen: shadow people (on stereogum). the beach. the ark. the girl. the way the lazy do. the old days. weekend. army of ancients. .. just listen to every song with THE in front. if you aren't in love after that you have so soul.
that's all i got. hopefully this helps at least one person get into one band and buy one album. thanks for all of your replies too - this is super.

phoenix, mew, broken bells, the dead weather, born ruffians, plants and animals, flips all not on the list. the lineup is really good and deep. but those were my big omissions

speaking of that john mayer joke we'll never hear, i saw ben folds break his bench on the grand piano when he opened for mayer. no one in the crowd knew ben folds it was all annoying little girls. i could barely stand it. but as soon as he started playing guitar.. man oh man. he's one of the best guitarists live. he's highly recommended if you have the chance to see him without jeopardizing your street cred
