Though the clothes are disposable and can work as festival threads, there are plenty of other places to nab some cute/cheap dresses. H&M, Old Navy, thrift stores, Plato's Closet, etc. H&M! I just got a few skirts there this weekend for less than $30! ...and yes, yes it does.

Niiice! I live literally a block away from an H&M and I always forget to check out their inventory around payday. I HATE that you can't do online shopping on their webpage. I usually like to browse a store's goods before making the trip over there.

I tried to go look at their webpage but it kind of sucked. It didn't really show what they had.

I think they're opening a US online store in the fall/ probably early 2012. Right now they've only got one for their European countries to my knowledge.

Guess what I saw yesterday?? A Target... IN CANADA. I was really excited until I found out it was like a cheapy version of Walmart. I always thought it was a classier Walmart. Do they have good things though?

You guys don't have Target? It is definitely not a cheapy version of Wal-mart. Target is way better. We like to call it Tar-jay, like we are fancy and french. They have some cute clothes and decent home/bath accessories. I love Target. I used to work there, actually, and I still think they are great. My only problem is that now they are supporting some anti-gay politicians and that is unfortunate.

You can get some pretty rad stuff from Target. It IS like a classier Wal-Mart, but class is all relative when it comes to department store chains.

Haha well I will be sure to check it out! We have a Canadian store called Zellers which is like the trashy version of Walmart, so I was expecting something like that. I think this weekend will include a trip to Tar-jay for sure.

We like to call it Tar-jay, like we are fancy and french. I do that toooo!!! hahaa! That's weird that your Target is el-cheapo, Souly, because IMO, Target is the classier cheap department store. I love shopping there. There are some great bathing suits in their store that I really want to try on once I'm a few lbs thinner. I could literally spend hours there. Groceries are significantly cheaper there, too. Is that true about the anti-gay movement, Stormz? That's disappointing. I read a disappointing article on the founder of Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie and Free People who is extremely open about his anti-gay views. I found that strange since the clothing is geared toward liberal-minded 17-30 year olds.

Yeah, Lady Gaga was going to give them some exclusive album selling rights or something for a new album coming out under the stipulation that they cease this practice, but apparently their answer wasn't good enough so she backed out.
It sucks because I don't want to support that, but they are also really affordable and I am not really all that flush. I am actually planning on going there hopefully this weekend or sometime soon.

Never thought I'd say this, but props to Lady GaGa.
There's this amazzzzzing fast food joint in the south called Chick-Fil-A (I think its spread westward into mall food courts) and the founder is a really nice, religious, southern type guy, and I think he's even spoken about his distaste for homosexuality, which was disappointing.
But I couldn't fault him because A) Their chicken is fucking awesome and B) He is extremely charitable and gives students scholarships if they work there during college. All companies are going to have douchey, corporate, closed minded losers. Sometimes I have to turn the ignorance factor on because otherwise, I wouldn't shop anywhere.

They have Chic-Fil-A here, or at least I can think of one place I have seen it, but I have never tried it. What is your favorite thing there?

oh my god. Try to locate one and wrap your taste buds around the magic that is their spicy chicken sandwich. Combine that with their slightly salty waffle fried and its near orgasmic.
holy cow. I need one. now.
EDIT--sorry. I'm graying the line between the Favorite thing to eat thread and the girly thread. Eh. It happens.

I think this weekend will include a trip to Tar-jay for sure. Target bought out Zellers. So they'll be transforming trashy Zellers' into glorious Target's. I went on a Target raid on my Sasquatch journey last year and it was beautiful.

. Sometimes I have to turn the ignorance factor on because otherwise, I wouldn't shop anywhere. Unfortunately, there's one thing I cannot forgive them for, and that's being closed on Sundays. I had a layover in the Atlanta airport on my way to Europe last summer and was PUMPED for some chick-fil-a. I walked up, saw the dreaded sign, and left with some very disappointed taste buds.
