It's usually only Sundays and the holiday itself they're closed. Thursday, Friday, or Saturday you'll be fine. Although it's worth noting that some close earlier in the evening than others so don't plan on a 10pm purchase.

This is probably retarded, but I got a question about buying liquor in WA. I've heard that liquor stores are closed on the long weekend, and grocery stores only sell beer and wine. Where would I be able to pick up hard alcohol on my way to the Gorge coming from Canada through Oroville, Okanagan, Riverside, Etc.. BTW I am a Sasquatch Rookie (Festival and Forum) The stores in WA should be open on Friday, so you can probably hit one on the way there Friday morning / afternoon. Also, if you're coming via ID, you can hit the liquor store in Sandpoint on Friday. and if you're taking this route, don't speed coming into Bonner's Ferry. The Sheriff there is a real prick.

Might I point out the Duty Free? A litre of liquor costs anything from $10-$25 dollars depending on the type. Everyone in your car can get 2 bottles and all the beer at the grocery store, that way you dont even have to bother finding a liquor store.
Before anyone says the limit is one litre, you're right. The lady at the duty free last year said we could get 2 bottles and the guard wouldnt care. We drove up, said we had a couple bottles each and he just waved us through.
I dont know what liquor costs in the states exactly, but $15 for a litre of whiskey or vodka is a pretty good deal in my books.

Haha for whatever reason last night I kept saying, "It's for a cop," in my head over and over.

Most of us (or maybe just a handful) remember our first year at Sasquatch. For me, it was a wonderful experience, but would've been even greater had I come equipped with some basic knowledge. I think we should help the rookies out and post some things we wish we would've known before our first Sasquatch. I'll kick things off:
Don't forget sunscreen!!! A common but often devastating mistake. Research your lineup to avoid future regret. The sinks in the campground always run dry, bring water jugs.
Good basics to pack: sunscreen, sunglasses (and a backup pair), water jugs, clothes for all weather (cold, hot, wet, its always unpredictable), cash (atm fees are hefty and there are some great things to be purchased in the campground), nothing of great value (or that you care about getting dirty/ruined/lost/unfortunately stolen), comfortable sneakers and socks (blisters suck), booze, baby wipes (probably the best thing on this list), disposable cameras, lawn chairs for the campsite, jumper cables, garbage bags, good hangover recovery supplies (viso, emergen-c, energy drinks, advil), flashlight, lantern, a kite (great wind at the gorge)
Any pointers for pushing through hangovers? Other essentials (or non)?

And there's no excuse. This thread is stickied at the very top of the very first sub-board. If juicebox comes back looking for the thread she started and can't find it, then that just means she's trying even less than she did when she created it in the first place.

Hey! Is anyone still waiting on there tickets to arrive? I purchased mine at the start of March and I get a generic response from the ticketing support saying they may not get sent out until 2 weeks before, but I have spoken to people who already have thiers. I flew all the way from New Zealand to catch this festival so I hope my ticket isn't missing, that would be an expensive trip

What type of ticket did you get? GA or VIP?

Seems a bit odd... Are you having them shipped to New Zealand, or are you already in the States?
