This thread will replace the existing Questions and Answers thread. If you are new, and have an hour to kill, the old thread is located here:
http://sasquatchfest.proboards.com/index....isplay&thread=5
Noobs: Most of your questions will be answered in this first post. If it isn't answered, post your question in this thread. NOTE: Give us a week to get this thread updated. If you have a question that can't wait, use the old link above.
Regulars: If you have a Q & A or tips you would like pasted in this first post, place them in this thread. I will continue updating this first post. Try to keep Q & A/tips as concise as possible. If no one wants to help out, I'll pull as much info from the old thread to post here in the next couple weeks.
Questions & Answers
Q: Are lawnchairs allowed in the venue? A: According to the Gorge Ampitheater main site, you can bring a low profile lawn chair, no more than 9 inches off the ground (approximately).
Q: When will the lineup be announced? A: We don't know yet. Wait it out.
Q: When do single day tickets go on sale? Single Day tickets do not appear to be an option for 2013.
Q: When will 2013 tickets that don't include camping go on sale? A: They won't. All tickets purchased prior to the festival include camping.
Q: What will the weather be like? A: Historical averages state a high of 76, and a low of 52. However, in 2005, the temperature was in the high 90s, and in 2006 there was a hail storm, with overnight lows in the lower 30s. Last year was a bit cooler than average with occasional rain. Wind is very common in the area. A wind storm briefly shut down the main stage in 2007, and tents fly away each year. Dress for all weather possibilities.
Q: What about re-entry? A: Re-entry appears to be allowed.
Q: Do they sell ice? A: They sell ice at the general store located roughly half way between the venue entrance and camping entrance. The last couple years, there has been an ice trailer located near the camping entrance selling bags for $2.
Q: How many people are allowed in my car for camping? A: In the general campground, unlimited. You can be walking next to a car and get in. You'll get a larger camping area with more cars though. In premier camping, the rule has always been four to a car, because they give you four wristbands allowing you to enter premium camping.
Q: Are SLR/DSLR cameras allowed? A: They are allowed in the campground. They are not allowed in the venue. People do sneak them in to the venue. (This is not an endorsement to try sneaking them in.)

I'll post some FAQ and let more sober posters answer them.
Will there be in-and-out privileges this year? How can you sneak in alcohol and/or drugs? Will System of a Down/Less Than Jake/Kelly Clarkson/Lada Gaga be playing this year? What about Radiohead? Can Sasquatch afford Radiohead? Could Radiohead sell out The Gorge on their own? Have I ever read a thread on this board before? Do I hold a GED? Does that get your dick sucked a lot?

Gunther, you might want to note that the weather is always perfect. Sunny all the time.

A consistently comfortable 75 degrees during the day and a refreshing 68 at night.

And even when you think it's going to rain, it doesn't. You might feel rain, but it's not raining. Chill out, bro.

It's a made up expression for board identity porpoises. Every board has an "Upcoming Shows" thread, or a "Christmas" thread, just like every board has a "FAQ" thread. When a boarder named the Halloween thread, "Halloween, I Guess," it was more identifiable to this message board than a typical, "Halloween" thread. This led to the "Christmas, I guess" thread.
So instead of calling this "FAQ," I made up BrassTAQ. Obviously, it's from the expression, "Let's get down to the brass tacks," which basically means, "what are the key points?"
TAQ can also be an acronym for either of the following: Tiresomely Asked Questions Tips, Answers, & Questions
Just so people don't get confused, I added the explanation to this definition in the title of the thread.
As much as it seems I put way too much thought in this, it came to me pretty quick. Or maybe I put way too much thought into this?

Will Single-Day passes be sold ahead of time? I don't think this news has been crystal clear. At http://www.livenation.com/event/0F004552D95D56B9 it says "Single day tickets will be available in early 2011. Please check back for date TBD", but I've been told by a livenation rep that single day passes would be sold the day of the event. Seems like this is still up in the air.
P.S. Thank you OP for starting this thread. Lots of good info.

From my understanding, single day passes will be sold right around Feb 11th. Or maybe its the 7th. Pretty much right after they announce the actual line up.

For christs sake, you may need to have whomever you're planning on holding your hand at the festival find you a single day ticket.

I'm kind of hoping that the price hike and the apparently baffling ticketing structure raises the average age of the crowd slightly this year. And I'm hoping the middle- to lower-tier line-up reflects that as well.

I don't think it's fair to anyone to post that if you don't want to pay for camping then all you have to do is march up to the box office on the day of the show and put your money on the barrelhead. Tickets will be LONG sold out by then.
And sub will NEVER talk about anything else.
