Got some Kraftwerk tickets.
Edit: I think I got front row. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing.

I'm pretty sure the website said no outside food. Ralf will understand once I pass him a Cheeto.

I paid $60 for very back row seats. An extra $20 for front row seems like a steal.

Future Islands tomorrow night in Spokompton. Lucky. I'm debating about seeing them in SF next week. They'll be at Coachella, but it'll be a short daytime set. And I've been watching live videos, like this one, which make me want to see a full set.

This DJ on XM radio was debating seeing Future Islands over The Knife in New York soon. Like, you're cool and all, Future Islands, but, like, wut?

I don't know, Future Islands are a tight live unit chock full of energy and everyone says the Knife live is a big practical joke. So I don't know, man.

Yeah, I'm kind of with Drew. Tickets would be half the price and you'd get a stellar live band. With The Knife you're paying to hear their stuff blasted loudly over nice speakers (not necessarily a bad thing!). I can see either choice being fine.

I'm just referring to the fees. You want to charge me $80 for Kraftwerk, fine. But I'm getting really tired of seeing "Tickets $35 - $65" and trying to figure out from that how much a stupid ticket actually costs.
Edit: Whoops, this is directed at davers.

A few years ago they changed that, in Vancouver at least. They used to say "Tickets $25" and then fees would put it to something like $35. Now they just say "Tickets $35" and that is the price you pay. It is then detailed in the actual statement that you are actually paying $25 per ticket, plus ticketbastard fees, plus convenience fees... blah blah, but the quoted price is now the final price. They will add a fee for delivery, but it can be $0 if you pick the right thing. Not sure if that was a change in a law or ticketmaster decided to do that on their own.

They still get the same amount of money either way, and I prefer to know the full cost right away rather than find out what arbitrary number they decided to charge later on in the process.
Considering that they haven't done this in the US though makes me think it was a law change. I know a few years ago cell phone companies had to start listing the full price of the plans rather than advertising $25 plans that came out to $40 after bullshit like 'system access fee'. Ticketmaster may have fallen under this law as well.

It must have been something like that, because the only time the fees have been included that I've seen has been Sasquatch.

Actually now that I think about it, I recall seeing that they had lost a lawsuit which lead to that.
