Whoa this is weird. I've enjoyed them every time (and it's not because of bias), except for maybe at the Hawthorne Theatre as the sound was fucking awful. Are you sure you didn't mistake the "chill-wave" sound for awful due to all it's haziness? nah I'm pretty sure that's not the case. The show was just way to fucking loud the whole time. Some people in the crowd were shouting at them to turn the guitar way down but they didn't seem to care. I listened to some live videos and you are actually supposed to be able to hear the different instruments rather than the jumbled mess we got. I didn't wear earplugs and I'm paying for it this morning Hmm, interesting. Then again, I haven't seen 'em in over a year, and the last time I saw them they didn't have Jordan playing either.

I'm glad Mother Mother has come and gone. Maybe now Sonic will stop blowing their load about every move they make, at least for a little while. I'm so sick of that band and the lead singer's stupid haircut. The RAA show was fucking awesome. Seeing them downstairs at Brixx 2 years ago, then at the Pawn Shop, and now at the Starlite was a trip. Next up, EEC, Shaw, Rexall. Such a high energy show. I was standing about 15ft from Paul and just in complete awe of his intensity/skill. Picked up some merch from the opener (The Provincial Archive) and I'm diggin' the CD quite a bit. Kinda Freelance Whales meets The Wooden Sky vibe going on. Very chill. Their merch guy used to be in Five O'Clock Charlie, a local band that broke up years ago, and he's supposed to be sending me a digital copy of their album because I shat a brick when he told me. I had completely forgotten about them. Anyway, good times. Love the Starlite. Seeing Face to Face w/ Strung Out there at the end of the month. Should be pretty fucking rowdy. UGHHH Why did you not find me!!! I was right against the stage between Nils and Paul. I was asking everyone around me if they were Alex. Didn't find you though! You didn't go to the show at the Wunderbar yesterday?

ha ha ha, Kesha show was announced here today. My gay buddy asked if I wanted to go and get glittered up with him and his posse....I declined.
P.S. I love how you made sure to include the $ in Ke$ha

When I think of Kesha I picture a dirty ashtray. This is a good way to sum up my feelings on Ke$ha as well.

Tallest Man on Earth April 27. I'll be swooning in the front row. Love love love Just checked and realized he is playing in Bellingham April 23. Too bad that is smack tab in the middle of Easter, otherwise we could meet halfway between metropolises (sp?: metropoli?)

Has anyone ever been to Live at Squamish? It's a but of a drive for me but if it's worth it I'll make it. Lineup looks ok so far.

Be goofy about him all you want, but that dude's voice sounds like someone swinging a cat by its tail.

I'd have to disagree with that statement. Although I've never heard YOUR cat swinging by it's tail, I'm pretty sure it doesn't sound like the Tallest Man on Earth.
