That is pretty f'ing cool, Lumpy.
On a side note, does anyone want to lend me $118 so Nadine and I can get the fuck on this Sigur Ros train? This over-$50-for-a-concert thing is getting a bit ridiculous.

Upstairs is all ages, where they have the beer gardens down the stairs outside the Den. I think they call it the ballroom? Downstairs is usually 18+ where you can buy a beer at the back and watch the show like a regular human being. It's entirely dependant on the show. I've been to shows where it's been the opposite of what you've said. Me too. Been to many shows downstairs with the hallway beer garden.

Morrissey is comin to Portland and Seattle.
I MIGHT go to his Seattle show, since his Portland show is the same night as Leonard Cohen.

Umphrey's Mcgee is going to lay down some jam soonish in Nashville.
Next week we got Explosions in the Sky as well.
Metric, St Vincent/David Byrne, Gotye, The Shins are currently on schedule to hit Nashville at the Ryman. There's a bunch of different venues as well. Looking forward to a good year of music.

I've never seen The Growlers before, but still, Lightning Bolt. They're goooood. It's probably the cheapest option, too.

Man there is so much cool shit coming to Van right now. It's so frustrating 'cause it's so close but it's so goddamn expensive now to get over there. We had a good run of people coming over here too for a while but now it seems like people are only hitting Vancouver. Have fun deciding Fox! But remember that's the Beerfest weekend too!

Wow, I will be seeing you (potentially) at many shows this summer. For sure Japandroids, Live at Squamish (which is actually the 24-26th. typo?) and Hot Chip if you come to the one on the 15th.

I've never seen an actual concert at Fortune which just seems dumb because I would think that basically any concert would be fantastic there. They spent literally over a million dollars on the sound system and the whole building was designed around getting the best possible sound. They should have concerts there three times a week; maybe it has something to do with the location and bands not wanting to go to the poorest neighbourhood in Canada.

I was stuck volunteering tonight, but did get to see a few shows. Noteworthy shows include FIVER, the British Columbians and the Sadies. Last night I caught Reuben & the Dark and was super impressed.

Damn, that Barboza show on 6/22 is tasty. The Men, METZ and Kinski would be rad. i am jealous of the Burrito. What is METZ? I'm finding old hip-hop groups when I try to look them up.

Pretty quiet night for me. Last night was my catch up sleep night. Still caught Nardwaur's hilarious band, The Evaporators with Souly. Really fun show, but apparently we left just before Andrew WK showed up. DAMN IT. Then caught my rocker girl crush, Miesha and the Spanks. They were friggen aweosme. Also had a super awkward interaction with Miesha afterwards. Me: "Hey that was a lot of fun" Miesha: "hey thanks" awkward ten second silence where I am creepily staring at her Miehsa: "you want a shirt or something?" Me: ".....yes" FEIST TONIGHT OH MAH GAWD ITS GOING TO BE AWESOME. Then Andrew WK doing a dj set at the gay bar. FUCKIN SLED ISLAND IS THE BEST
