I kind of hope to be moved to BC by that point, but everything is all up in the air. I hope they still have tickets when I get paid. Souly you're moving to BC? Where to and when?

David Byrne and St. Vincent just announced a tour together this fall!
They're playing the Orpheum in San Francisco on 10/15, Moore Theater on 10/17, and Arlene Schnitzer on 10/18.
Their website is down right now, so I can't get ticket information...

ATTENTION PORTLANDERS: I have to miss the St. Vincent/David Byrne show on 10/15 in SF (probably) but I will be in Portland on 10/18 for that show. Who wants to go?

I was going to look like I was having a seizure during Northern Lights, and it happened. One of my favorite events that weekend.

In other news, my love Paul F. Tompkins is coming back to Charleston in a couple of weeks.

I'm listening to the first track off that St. Vincent/ Byrne collaboration right now and it is fucking incredible. Really, really great. I've gotten so tired of David Byrne's endless string of collaborations -- it's what a great artist does when he's finally run out of ideas ( Grown Backwards and Everything That Happens Will Happen Today are proof that Byrne's muse is gone), but this.... This is working.

Got my Animal Collective tickets today. Thanks for the heads up on the pre-sale.
Also, Maps & Atlases were fucking amazing last night. I really like their albums but them live is a whole new beast. Great show. If any of you guys/gals get a chance to catch them make sure to do it!

badchoices now has 500 posts and for some reason I still think of him as a transient/noob.
That's cool, though. I recall not thinking Fig was real until he'd been around for almost a year.

And I'm so happy about that Animal Collective pre-sale; I was pulling my hair out worrying about battling the masses when the general on-sale opened this weekend, but now I don't have to think about it anymore.
Did someone mention these are will call only tickets?

We got GA tickets for both Portland and Seattle. I didn't realize there was an option, but if I had I would have done the same thing.
You and Nadine are coming down for the Portland show, yes?

That's the plan, man. If possible, the Storm is gonna take that whole week off of work and we're going to spend it getting fuckin' weird with Animal Collective. It is going to be the best fucking week that there ever was.
Who else is hitting one or both of these shows? Sound off!
