ah, sorry I'm tired this morning. I was probably confused because I'd honestly be happy to go to DMB for the same reason I'd consider going to a Phish show. I'm not into either band but I'd be willing to give the experience a try to see what every gets so excited about
Went last year for the whole weekend. Hanging at the Gorge is always a good time. I tried to Dr. Garbanzoure out what everyone gets so excited about and I still just don't get it (the musical draw that is, the camping music festival experience part I get).
What's the deal with James? I guess I just don't get it...
So it's pretty much the greatest song you've ever heard, right? Right. Since you loved it so much, watch this live version next:
Honestly, if neither of these did it for you, then A) Fuck you, and B) James just isn't your thing.
I had no idea who these guys were prior to Coachella releasing their lineup, and I even laughed at how stupid their name was upon researching all of the artists. Thankfully I stumbled upon the song "Sit Down" and instantly fell in love with it. Then I downloaded their greatest hits and fell in love with that. Then I listened to the rest of their discography and fell in love with damn near every album they've put out since the early 90's. They're seriously one of the most consistent, straight-forward rock (power-rock?) bands I've ever heard and have gone from being a band I had never heard of (and likely never would have) to not only being my second most anticipated act at Coachella, but an overall favorite band in my life, currently. If even part of you likes "Sit Down," then give their greatest hits a listen. There is a solid chance that you will love the shit out of it/them.
