We you going to tell me you were coming down for the xx? :[ I haven't even bought tickets yet. It's a Wednesday show so it is really dependant on what I can make work, workwise. Save yourself the time and money, and just take a nap in Vancouver instead.

Girl Talk - September 7th - Commodore Ballroom Fuck me this sold out already. I knew I should have done things on the weekend but I was too much of a drunken mess. Who's got an extra?

Nah, it's not at the top of the list of shows I want to attend and I'm fairly broke for the next few weeks. Chances are I'll try to pull out something similar to how I got my Bon Iver tickets.
I appreciate the offer though!

How'd you get the Bon Iver tix? Tickets were regular $57.25 for the Bon Iver show last night, but we ended up seeing them for $30 each and it was great. Deer Lake Park made for a good Gorge substitute for the evening. Bjoritto, the Bjorrito cover was fucking fantastic. That beatboxer! Tonight, THE WALLLLLL!!! It was through craigslist. Someone got sick and was desperate to sell last minute. There were TONS of tickets available at or below face. I don't expect to pay half price again, but I'm confident I can find a motivated seller close to show time.

I think that's always a smart game plan for a show that you want to see, but wouldn't be heartbroken if it doesn't work out.

Turns out my sister's boyfriend is in a pretty kickass post-rock band. Who woulda thunk? It's so fucking cool when you're expecting the friend's band to suck and they're actually awesome. I used to work with this dude who was in a band called "The Dirt On". I went and saw them and they were just terrible. Like horrible screamo awful. So when my new coworker told me that his band "Dirtfella" was playing I didn't expect much. They turned out to be one of the best local bands I'd ever seen and I totally fell in love with them (the bassist/my coworker especially) and me and Robbie have been together ever since! Aw barf. I remember you telling me this story on the way back from Feed Me. It entertained me to no end.
