If Sasquatch starts replacing legitimate headliners with more crappy dance music I'm'a gonna find me another festival. Not that I'm worried about it -- if this dubstep fad hasn't burned itself out by Sasquatch 2012, it certainly will have by 2013. couldn't agree more although I kind of felt the similarly about death cab headlining this year

Well, Death Cab did work well as background music when I was busy scarfing some carb-tastic festival food and cracking 1,000 glowsticks for Bassnectar :-)
On a more serious note, I'm probably one of the biggest bass heads on here, and I'd still rather see Sasquatch stay true to its roots. There are already plenty of EDM-oriented festivals, and while I like a bit of EDM for late night Sasquatch shenanigans, I really don't want to see it become the focus.

deadmau5 - August 12th - PNE Forum (Pea is a golden fucking god for securing these tickets at a reasonable price) The Antlers - September 8th - Venue James Blake - September 25th - Commodore Ballroom Portishead - October 24th - PNE Forum Foo Fighters - October 25th - Rogers Arena
and goddamit I really want to go see Amon Tobin but I am so cut off from shows until after we get back from Mexico... and even than it'll be Coachella saving time.

I really hope deadmau5 doesn't headline next year, I'd be much happier with someone like Justice I guess... Agreed. I just want to see daft punk at the gorge. Make it happen Adam. I am a deadmau5 fan (obviously) but I would be really bummed if he headlined sasquatch next year. However I wouldn't be surprised if it does happen or some act very similar to his.

with that, i think i'm gonna buy tickets to see the Antlers here in Atlanta for Sept 21st....
wait - are they touring with Foster the People?
-EDIT- i guess not, but they're slated to play at the same venue, same time and same date as Antlers. but the ticket costs are entirely different.

i have it figured out... The Antlers will play in a smaller downstairs room at the Masquerade (a venue here in Atlanta), whereas Foster the People will play in the larger upstairs area.
$15 for Antlers tickets $25 for Foster the People tickets

and yes, it's absolutely insane that Foster the People tickets are actually going for more than $20.
they're like a 2011 version of Mumford & Sons

and yes, it's absolutely insane that Foster the People tickets are actually going for more than $20. they're like a 2011 version of Mumford & Sons They've sold out three shows in Portland this year. The first was at a 300 person venue for $10 in April. The second was a 1,500 person venue in June which sold out in less than a week (granted, tickets were only $5). Now, charging $18, they sold out another 1,500 person venue, and that show is two months away. They also had one of the largest side stage crowds at Coachella. All because of a little fucked up kicks.
