Awesome post Peatrick, I'm still laughing. ^^Haha awesome good post knowidyuh, both here and on your blog. If I ever read blogs, I'd read your blog. Thanks. I'm not much of a blog reader either, every asshole who things they are interesting has a blog these days. Yeah, (being a diehard Pavement fan myself), I loved the review of the Pave show. I have to admit, you pegged why I loved their Sasquatch set. When I saw them at Pitchfork (you think you saw too many hipsters at YOUR show), they were almost a little too clean. It almost felt sterile. We'll see what happens next week in New York. Cool, jealous you get to see them again, even if we appreciate their shows for different reasons. I still thought the Sasquatch show was memorable, just because Malkmus was fucking hilarious. I can't wait for their next reunion seven years from now.

Yeasayer would be fantastic. Saw them at block party but would love to see them rock the gorge.

Yeasayer WOULD be fantastic. They were there in `08 but they played at like noon so I missed it.
I really can't stand Odd Blood but it would still be a blast.

Really? You can't see how a person who absolutely LOVED 'All Hour Cymbals' might be extremely turned off by 'Odd Blood'?

'All Hour Cymbals' was a great album. Agreed. However, there is a lot to like on the new album. A lot. I'm curious to know what it is that you hate so much.

You asked, so you KNOW I'm going to tell you.
...not right now, though. I'm going to meet my wife; we're going to see Doug Benson tonight!

Oh, um, so the reason I don't like 'Odd Blood'. And that it has none of the qualities about Yeasayer that I initially enjoyed so much isn't a good enough reason.
Well there's plenty of bands ripping off Animal Collective right now and not that many ripping off early 80's-era Peter Gabriel, so if nothing else I feel like the world is a poorer place for the change. The production is WAY over the top. The ballads are painfully bad. The first half of the record has good energy but the lyrics make me cringe.
'The Children' is a pretty rad song.

Speaking of Animal Collective rip offs, I'll take this point one further. When I saw Yeasayer a couple years ago, the main lead singer had the same hair as Avey Tare, and the same mannerisms. I remember thinking at least 38 times, "does this guy think he is Avey?"
I thought the show was terrible, only saved because the guitar/everything player is amazing. I'm still hoping they'll be at Sasquatch, because apparently I'm the only person on the internets who think they are terrible live. I need a second opinion.

With a new album coming out next year, I thought Mogwai might show up, but they're playing the Wonder Ballroom on May 5th, so I'd say it's unlikely they'd find their way to the Gorge a few weeks later.

I would expect the Decemberists back, seeing as they have a record out in January or so.

Wooah, they were boring live, terrible I don't think, but boring. And yes there is a difference. i.e. death cab (one of my favorite bands but seriously they could just put they're album in and leave it's not the slightest different"

It was exactly a year ago that Sasquatch! 2010 announced it's existence. Do you think we could expect something tomorrow?

the part about death cab actually being someone's favorite band? No jackass, the part about Death Cab being an underwhelming live act whose performance consists of replaying their records.
