Was gonna say Pulp, but I don't think that's gonna happen since they're playing Primavera (assuming Primavera is the same weekend again)

Granted, Sasquatch seems to generally cringe at the idea of guitar distortion but I would love love love to see Russian Circles on the bill next year.

Then again Pavement are also a one-time reuniting band that played both Primavera and Sasquatch, so maybe Pulp would follow in their footsteps?

I would say if there was even any interest for them to come, it's possible. A decent amount of bands from Primavera made it for sasquatch, so it's not like it's not possible. I'd assume they just have to know it's worth it.

although blue scholars seems like a slam dunk with them not having been there for the last few years i'd really prefer some other seattle hip hop, someone above mentioned macklamore, grynch is up and coming, common market has been before but puts on a way better show, or gabe teodros....nationally my guesses for hip hop would be pretty shaky but i might throw big boi or the roots (i think someone said that before) out as a possibility

yeah the roots and big boi seem like kind of a longshot.
on the other hand, common market, blue scholars, and grynch. I give it an 85% chance that at least one of those shows up on the bill. I say that because sasquatch always represents at least one seattle hiphop group every year: 2008 had blue scholars, 2009 had dyme def, and 2010 had shabazz palaces and I saw all three. I would be happy to see any of them, but blue scholars are on a whole other level, I really hope they come.

I might be wrong here but I think Pulp is a lot bigger in Europe than they are here so it might end up being like the Blur reunion where it never makes it stateside. I'd be fine with them being there though

I'd be fine with them being there though good point. I saw a Jarvis Cocker solo a couple years ago in Chicago and that was a damn good show, but I know it was one of very few he did in the states that year.

I'd club a baby seal to see Pulp. Honestly I'd rather have Pulp at Sasquatch than even Radiohead, because I've seen them and I know I'll have plenty of chances to see them again.
And concerning Death Cab: I can't stand their records, not a single one. But I was so impressed by their set at `08 Squatch that I went to see them again a couple weeks later at Edgefield. I think they are a great live band.

I'll even hold down the baby seal. My favorite song never seems to match the most popular song in a band's catalog, but I've listened to "Common People" on repeat walking home from bars late at night many times. I guess it's their most popular, Pitchfork told me so.

Nice catch. They announced that Portland show four weeks ago. Like you said, a Seattle show still might be in the works, but for now, I think this is a decent rumor.

My friends and I took Peatrick to Chromeo in Vancouver for his birthday in August, and we're all going back to see them in February. Here's hoping we'll get a shot at another set from them at Sasquatch!
