Dude, you're a little boy. You don't have the right to respect Michael Jackson as a cultural phenomenon because by the time you were culturally aware he was nothing but a punchline. Your copy of HIStory Disc 1 doesn't mean you know shit about it. Kanye may be a self-important prick, and I'm sorry he got in front of the cameras while you were jackin' it to Taylor Swift at the VMAs, but at least he's not up on stage waving his arms and going on about good vibes and trust and love and then downing a vial of liquid cocaine on his way through the stage door to some hooker's house where he's going to smash into her house and try to beat her to death. Little boy? Don't get the wrong idea of me Gramma. I know my music. No, I'm not hurt because what Kanye said to anybody, don't care (or jack it, thank you) to Taylor Swift. I just think he's a loser. Plain and simple. But to get off this hate filled topic, I hear Busta Rhymes is great live but never really got into his music. I would still check him out.

I saw Busta at the House of Blues in Vegas. He had a blunt the size of my forearm and a bottle of courvoisier in his hands the whole show except when he was passing them around to the people in the front row.
Rad show. Great performer. I'm not big on what he's done in the last ten years, but his first couple albums - particularly The Coming and E.L.E. - are very strange and really cool.

I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that a Mos Def and Talib Kweli reunion is long overdue. I heard they were announced as the first headliner for the Paid Dues festival. I would imagine that would keep them from coming this year. Anyway, for my money I'll take Busta Rhymes. The only time I had the chance to see him live, he destroyed everyone else on the bill. The one thing I could have done without was seeing him perform 2 or 3 songs with his entire ass hanging out.

When I first read you guys talking about Busta Rhymes, I thought you were joking. I find him annoying, and this is coming from someone who has every lyric and note of Leaders of the New School's Future Without A Past album memorized, including the random noises and screams during the interludes. Although I haven't listened to even a fraction of his solo work, I can't imagine he has created a song better than "Show Me A Hero." I don't even know what Kenny Roger's "The Gambler" sounds like, because every time I hear it, I'm singing "Show Me a Hero." This should make a couple of you cringe.
It is good to hear he is a great performer though, because I would've turned down a free ticket and laughed in the face of the person offering, before reading this.

Linkin Park? Its absolutely NOTHING like his older material. But I would still rather watch him perform that over Kanye West.

I don't despise his music entirely, I just cant tolerate his personality and fucking ego at all. Nobody can be right 100% of the time.
