The Internet seems to think that Neutral Milk Hotel is getting ready to release a new double album. If that happens and they end up touring again, that would definitely make them worth speculating. RIP Julysquatch. Hashtag Never Forget.

I hate to be the one to say this, but the Flaming Lips' 2017 tour dates supporting their new album do not include anything on the west coast yet, and it will have been six years since their poorly-executed Soft Bulletin performance - that's a long gap for a band that previously took two and three years between Sasquatch appearances.

Eeeeek, they have such a MK-Ultra vibe. What would the cost difference be for someone like Kings of Leon instead? They also have 6 have 8 years off from Sasquatch and their first leg of American tour skips PNW.

Joey Bada$$ has his album AABA dropping before the end of the year and is arguably big enough to fill the role of Vic Mensa this year. He plays Seattle tonight but will probably be embarking on an album tour early next year.
Also how do you guys feel about a Saint Motel return after their set getting cancelled last year and the fact that they just released a new album today?

I know Wayne Coyne has gone batshit crazy, but

Just to educate a few people from before, Sasquatch 16 had 4, not two people from Deck the Hall Ball 2015. Deep Sea Diver, Nathaniel Rateliff, Alabama Shakes, and X Ambassadors.
I'm not saying all of these, but realistic expectations would include, Chance the Rapper, NxWorries, Die Antwoord, Glass Animals, Empire Of The Sun, Jagwar Ma, Big Wild Beach House, Head and the Heart, Jim James, Joywave, the Local Natives, and two door cinema club.
Headliner Possabilities: Justice, Green Day, Flume, Odesza, Gorillaz, Frank Ocean, and god please make it so Temple of the Dog. (I get the last ones probably not happening, but everyone in Seattle would lose their collective minds for it)

Thanks for the correction, I wouldn't bank on four this year but again there is a good chance we see more than the typical number of just one.

Thoughts on a CHVRCHES or Lumineers return?
Lumineers had a new album this year and haven't been at Sasquatch since 2013. CHVRCHES played that very early set on the rain in 2013 and should be due to return as well!

CHVRCHES played that very early set on the rain in 2013 and should be due to return as well! I think both are pretty likely. Rule of thumb is if they weren't there last year and have since released new material consider them a possibility. I.e. Lumineers, Cage the elephant, Chvrches, etc etc. I would like to speculate Dan Deacon playing a sweet set in 2017, Gliss Riffer is so good and he definitely fits the Sasquatch vibe so I would imagine he will be there sooner rather than later.

I feel like this is likely considering the old school rap Sasquatch has booked in recent years (I.e. Outkast, digable planets, probably more but I'm too lazy to research)

Where/when do you guys think Eric B and Rakim would perform if they were on the lineup? Late afternoon Mainstage?

Nick Cave's North American tour starts May 26th in Canada, and is skipping Seattle. Hmm.

Nick Cave's North American tour starts May 26th in Canada, and is skipping Seattle. Hmm. Sasquatch is (presumably) May 26-29. He has a show in Brooklyn on 5/26 and Montreal on 5/29. Skipping Seattle is weird, but I doubt he'd travel across the country for a Saturday or Sunday set at Sasquatch without a day of travel between his headlining shows.
