That Shamir song on the Spotify playlist bugs the hell out of me. Not sure if the other stuff is as bad, but not sure if it's good either.

I listened to his album when it came out because everyone was raving about it, but I'm not sure I even made it all the way through. It just didn't do it for me. Kinda sounds like it would be a lot better in a live setting, though. Of course, most music is.

I am loving this lineup! Hope I can afford to go this year. Glad to see most people here are stoked... The Facebook crowd is unhappy to say the least haha.

I'm really enjoying Oh Wonder. Upon first listen, I can see them being this year's Sylvan Esso. Not quite the same groove level, but they give me the same vibe.

I almost forgot about this song. The Crow Soundtrack got me through some shit as a teenager. I've never been a huge fan of The Cure, but the possibility of them playing this song has me very excited about their set.

According to setlist.fm it was the first time they ever played it live.

So I've been trying to revisit some artists who I felt I may not have given a fair chance, given their popularity. The two I have most recently focussed on are Disclosure and Tycho.
Disclosure- I find their formula to be a little too familiar throughout their albums and the only real difference between each seemingly similar song is some sort of guest artist. I'm not sure how this translates into live performances (especially as a headliner), "Hello fans! We made all these songs with famous artists just for you! But unfortunately the artists who helped us are not here, but don't worry I'll push this button and you can listen to this famous person who's on our track which is one of the reasons you love us even though we weren't considerate enough to bring them..." Idk. Any suggestions on something by them I should listen too? I am more than willing to enter with an open mind.
Tycho- I'm actually really glad I gave Tycho another listen. I'm not a huge fan of chill wave (I do like some but in general I find it to be more background sound and not as engaging live), but the new album "Awake" definitely finds other components which move it away from that category a bit and I really like it. Definitely moved up to my "must see" list.

Your statement definitely stands true, they are not your typical edm artist. That being said, I definitely made the right decision in 2013 by seeing Beachwood Sparks instead of them. Thanks for feedback though, appreciate the videos.

So this gives me an idea.... over at inforoo, they would list the artists and have people select one artist and a date. When the date would come, the user would create a thread with artist info such as major discography, music videos. In the end they would have their own personal opinion about the artist... here is the signup thread: inforoo.com/thread/34132/band-day-2015-signupsand some examples: inforoo.com/thread/34438/day-25-bahamas This is the one I did for bonnaroo 2015 and this is the band a day thread for disclosure: inforoo.com/thread/33182/day-68-disclosureWhat do you guys think? I'd be down to coordinate this =) or please let me know if there is something like this already!

If we're revisiting artists who were not given a fair chance, let's do Major Lazer. They'll press a button and jump around and yell while their pre-recorded set plays. They'll tell people to jump. People will jump. They'll tell people to take their shirts off. People will take their shirts off. People will be cold. They'll bring some poor drunk asshole on stage and shave his head. They'll say they wish everyone would enjoy their show sober, without a hint of self-awareness that they wouldn't have a career if people came to their shows sober. You'll be at the Bigfoot stage wondering if you ever actually really believed that there would be a late added headliner, or if it was always just desperate hope. You'll listen to LCD Soundsystem when you get back to the campsite and quietly sip on a warm Rainier. Actually let's not revisit Major Lazer.
