Oh crap. That's interesting. You know what's been kinda putting me off ( is that right term? like when something is wrong and you can sense it) the fact that there is really no movement on the Sasquatch website ( i have two trackers on that website to notify me of any changes done to the website) or facebook (both posts from the festival itself and fans) or any social media. Is this the norm? I think after the cancellation of Squamish we'll see more announcements from Sasquatch.

Macklemore law: They're playing. As much as I agree that he will be there on the Friday, I'm not sold Macklemore will headline the same slot on the same day as he did before. I know he has done work with ASAP Rocky before, maybe he'll be a surprise guest artist? Disclosure likes to do that guest artist stuff too. I can see that being exciting and a good promotional move. Or I could see him being officially added but as the Friday Bigfoot late night set. But as a headliner? Again? I'm just not sure that's a big draw given where his career is at right now, and also taking into account how often he has been at Sasquatch in recent years.

If Macklemore was going to be added to the Sasquatch lineup, why would it not have been part of this recent tour announcement? I'm sure they would have worked that out by now. It is this rationale that makes me think he will not be added, but will be at Bumbershoot instead, since they have yet to announce their lineup.

Foals just added a bunch of USA tour dates in May, I was hoping to see them creep closer to the PNW but as it stands they complete their May tour dates at Hangout Fest on May 21, are they a possibility for & More?

Does anyone know when we started getting additions to the lineup last year? I thought we'd have a little more activity on the lineup at this point especially with the smaller number of bands announced at the offset this year. I'm getting anxious!

Last year, the additions began on March 2nd and added a few bands a day leading up to Sleater-Kinney on March 9th. In 2013, Elvis Costello was added on February 25th. Given how much earlier the lineup was announced this year, I kinda assumed we'd have some activity by now. Hopefully we'll at least hear something in the next week or so.

David Cross is coming back to the Northwest in May (Boise on 5/9 and Portland on 5/10), but skipping Seattle this time. I think he could be added if there are open comedy spots.

This is all kind of worrisome. Not that I think Sasquatch would ever get cancelled, but with the perceived low ticket sales and the recent Squamish cancellation, it makes me wonder just how invested Live Nation really is in this festival. The "...and more!" additions have always been a big part of the excitement leading up to the event, and aside from the almost spammy ticket advertisements all over Facebook, Sasquatch has pretty much gone completely dark online. It's going to be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of months.

As I had previously posted I have two trackers that notify me of any changes done to the lineup page and nothing. I only get notified because of the increase of people doing their custom lineup. Gordi was added but Oscar was taken out. Facebook is completely dead. This forum is pretty dead for the most part ( i don't know if this is the norm but coming from Inforoo this is a really quiet forum). It feels strange and odd. I feel that we'll be seeing additions or news this week or next.

Hopefully they're sitting on the dopest announcement. So dope that they don't need to update their Facebook until it's announced.

For whatever reason, the bulk of this forum's main contributors stopped posting shortly after Sasquatch 2014. We have a huge contingent of friends that all met through the board, and have since taken the majority of our networking onto Facebook when we're not spending "IRL" time together. This is certainly the slowest I've ever seen the board in the months leading up to the festival, though. Even with the dip in user participation there seemed to be a lot more discussion last year compared to now. I do think it has a bit more to do with the natural migration of users away from the board as a communication platform, but it could also be indicative of an overall less enthusiastic fanbase this year. The eerie quietness surrounding Sasquatch 2016 is undeniable, though. I've also got a website tracker running, and the longer it stays quiet the more I wonder what's going on behind the scenes.

A girl I went to high school with is dating or engaged or something to the lead singer. I would ask but I haven't exactly spoken to her in probably 8 years. Maybe I'll see if someone I know better still keeps in touch with her... And yeah, this board is basically dead because most of the regulars just communicate on Facebook now and we don't exactly aquire a lot of newbies when there isn't much conversation going on. The lack of activity from them in Facebook is concerning though. Maybe they are building up a big announcement to make a big splash and get people talking again (kind of like a phase 2 lineup) rather than just having them trickle out one by one and no one really notices? Jive nation is ruthless when it comes to thinking with their wallet but I can't imagine them cutting a 15 year established festival over a couple less than stellar years, but who knows. If we noticed booked bands popping up at other festivals a la julysquatch (neverforget) then start panicking.

A few weeks ago I brought up this very point, a noticeable lack of enthusiasm towards Sasquatch across all social media. I would think if they were going to make any sort of announcement worth talking about it would happen very soon. I say this because once Pemberton drops their line-up it'll be cheaper for both Canadians and Americans to go there, which can't be good for our beloved festival. And I'm sure Pemberton's line-up will have enough desirable acts to create a draw. Let's face it, all festivals are pretty compatable, with just a few acts which may make one better than the other according to personal taste. If someone hasn't bought their ticket to Sasquatch yet, I'd guess they are waiting for Pemberton, or aren't going to unless something gets added.

Most of the people I know that haven't bought tickets yet are actually betting on the secondary market prices plummeting, so long as the festival doesn't sell out.

Multiple people in my devoted 7-year crew are waiting to buy secondary market, because they are not so enthused about the lineup and are not concerned about a sellout.

Well this is a bad idea for a devoted crew as well as everyone else. That's two crews in 12 hours who have said they are waiting to purchase tickets NOT at face value. Hate to be a downer but that makes you all to blame more than anyone if a festival like this was ever to be cancelled. You all know better. Buy a fricken ticket. Go to the festival this board represents.

Where do we stand with late addition predictions? Taking a quick look at BottleRock, Grouplove has a few weeks of a gap after it and then the Joy Formidable is wide open after that fest as well. Lumineers are kind of like the Macklemore situation, they have an open day but they play BottleRock on the Sunday then play Tuesday in Portland so logistically it makes little sense. Other than that Foals, because they care so much about us I think they will weather the drive from Alabama, it's only a 39 hour drive ¯\_(ツ)_/¯; in fact, I came up with a tour path for them: play Dallas, Kansas City, Denver, SLC and boom they are basically there.
