I can fault him for utter lack of awareness. He's played dozens of festivals in non-headlining roles, he knows you can't exceed your allotted time, and he knew it would take the whole time to play the album without bullshit, yet he bullshat. No excuses. No more flaming lips talk, my blood pressure can't afford it. I had forgot that they actually started like 7 or 8 minutes later than their set time. Who knows if that was their fault or not but given how Wayne is, I'm guessing it was. He doesn't start until things are perfect. If not for the late start, they could have got those two missing songs in even with Wayne's ranting for half the set and the cake stuff. He seemed annoyed that they cut him off right at the very moment they were supposed to be going off stage. Maybe it's just a case of him being a big child if he's actually not wanting to come back. I'd be just fine seeing them closer to Seattle anyway.

Anyone thought about the Deftones sub-headlining Main stage or even headlining the Bigfoot? AZacks been listening to some heavier tunes lately, Pelican & Isis to name a couple, both have opened for the 'Tones. New album, big in the NW, never played Sasquatch, open schedule at the end of May before they head to Europe for a full festival run...I dream.

I think Pelican sounds even better, and probably more likely.

I fucking love deftones, but I'm not sure how I would feel about seeing them at Sasquatch. It just doesn't fit for me.

Deftones headlining the Bigfoot would be a great time.

Deftones headlining the Bigfoot would be a great time. And I think they are most certainly anti-perfect for Sasquatch, and won't be on the lineup.

Deftones put on a captivating live show & their tunes would sound amazing at the Gorge. I kind of feel like if they're "anti-perfect" for Sasquatch then bands like Primus are too, and I've always wanted to see Primus on the lineup. Shit, Death From Above was a super heavy set for Sasquatch, but the crowd was loving it...at least the floor was.

The thing about Sasquatch is that there is no anti-Sasquatch band, within reason. Clearly, a band like Anal Cunt is a little anti-Sasquatch. Wonk is just scared to be wrong.

I saw Deftones play the main stage at the Gorge for Ozzfest 99. Primus played a couple sets before them. It was amazing. That was definitely in my top 5 shows ever.

Death From Above is the Japandroids with a slightly deeper voice.

Musically, Primus and the Deftones are very, very different. Live on stage, they bring intensity to their crowds in a similar way, with great productions, killer riffs & awesome vocals. I guess I hope you're wrong about that prediction, and from the sounds of it, I hope you're wrong on all your predictions.

Okay, two initial rampantly speculative thoughts now that I've seen the Coachella lineup:
Bon Iver subheadlined the second day of Coachella in 2012 before headlining Sasquatch. the XX already look likely for Sasquatch, and they're subheadlining the second day of Coachella. Could they headline Sasquatch? I saw the XX headline Treasure Island Music Festival in October, and, in my opinion, they are not headliner material for a festival of Sasquatch's caliber. TIMF and Sasquatch did share Death Cab for Cutie in 2011, though.
Second, I thought Phoenix could headline Sasquatch, but in recent years, Coachella and Sasquatch have not shared a headliner. Do you think Phoenix might still headline Sasquatch?

I hope not to both of those things. I wanna see the xx sure... but I would hope they don't have to waste a headlining slot on them.

Agreed, I really hope the xx aren't considered headliner material. Also, Phoenix could headline, sure. But they'll be in Spain for Primavera right before Sasquatch and then in Germany in early June for Rock am Ring. Would it be worth it for them come to North America from Europe and then head back to Europe a week after? But again, as some of you said, money and planes and stuff.

I wouldn't mind if Pheonix headlined actually. I'd prefer ANOTHER headliner, but if it comes down to it I'd probably have fun at their set.
