When's the last time you saw him live dude? His sets have been at least 50% DnB the past couple of times I've seen him. He seriously gets better and better every time.
Yeah, he definitely doesn't disappoint live. I'll be catching that show on the 30th. I'm interested to see what his live group Destroid, will sound like. They are supposed to be doing festivals this summer.

The Destroid tracks I've heard (mostly from the Shambhala 2012 mix) were down right awful IMO. I'm DONE with the dino-transformer sounds! Also, let's not fool ourselves, an Excision festival set will contain little to no drum 'n' bass.

Perhaps you're right, but in general I would think that the crowd at Paradiso would be more knowledgeable and accepting of the different genres of electronic music than the crowd at Sasquatch, where dance music is arguably secondary to the indie/rock/whatever that Snacks books.
Don't get me wrong, I would hope to fucking hell that some d'n'b would make its way in to an Excision set at Sasquatch. I just think he'd be more inclined to play to the (less knowledgeable) crowd's taste and pump out the derp.
It seems to me like most of the dubstep djs are mixing it up more these days. You'll hear them throw in some electro, dnb, moomba, trap, maybe a metal or a hiphop track. Theres also the whole idea of bass music over specific genres now.

"Filthy" dubstep is already on it's way out. Artists like Boregore have absolutely no future. The smart ones like Excision are mixing it up like crazy in order to stay relevant. Hell, even Skream, who is partly responsible for the modern sound of dubstep, is abandoning it for a more UK Garage style.
His set at Paradiso has gotten me interested again. I have been over the transformer orgy sound of dubstep for quite some time but his Paradiso set contained very little of it and was downright fucking awesome! Pretty excited to see him at the end of the month and even if his set at Paradiso was a fluke I will still have 100k watts of PK sound pounding the hell out of me.
This is out of left field, but Hudson Mohawke/TNGHT has been hitting it big recently in Hip-hop/beats and could be a potential banana shacker. Just signed on with G.O.O.D Music and has had a lot of recent success, and although he's not really much of a "trap" artist/dj, that's sorta the new fad, and he fits in with it. Y'all think any trap djs will be at sasquatch?
