That was subtle, for a second I couldn't figure out what you changed. Well done. I always disliked you a lot less than everyone tells you they think I do.

Way to defend your custom title. I was ready to appoint a new Pitchfork king.

I work at a company that buys and sells CD and DVD's, and I see that CD more times than I would every like to in a day.

Werkin' on a "write-up" now. Don't worry, don't plan on getting too long-winded.

grooveshark.com/#!/album/Remember/5576236 So, this is a pretty intense album. First off, I’m going to go ahead and give you permission to stop listening if after 5 tracks (no less), you can’t take it anymore. Fiery Furnaces are super ambitious, and I love them for that (some people hate them for that). They do whatever the fuck they feel like doing. I’ve seen them live 3 times and every single time has been different band instrumentation with completely different arrangements each time. A lot of the time, the only thing you’ll recognize from the songs is the lyrics. And they’ve taken it another step further with this album. Not only have they taken recordings from all eras in this album. They have even spliced them all together into one song, making it some crazy Frankenstein monster. Making it even more unpredictable than it already was. And their unpredictability is my favorite thing about them. It’s a 2 disc album, arranged into 3 “suites” on each disc. Totaling 2 hours and 12 minutes. Which is a long commitment. For this reason, the liner notes read “Please do not attempt to listen to all at once.” So don’t feel like you have to. I’m sure I could speak about this more eloquently later on. Right now it just sounds like I’m defying you to like it. Anywho, I’m interested to hear comments. Trivia fact: Jason Lowenstein (of Sebadoh fame), played either bass or guitar in pretty much all of the bands.

Fear not, Chud and Lumpy, your albums of their respective weeks have not been forgotten. At least not by me. I plan on spending the next solid chunk of free time I have digesting both of them. Including THE ENTIRE FIERY FURNACES ALBUM*.
As a point of reference:
8/19: badchoices: The Mars Volta - Scab Dates 8/26: CHUD: Dilute - Live 9/2: Lumpy: The Fiery Furnaces - Remember 9/9: Gramma 9/16: blacksmile 9/23: FD 9/30: Burrito 10/7: Geno
*I have never heard The Fiery Furnaces before, but because I will take any recommendation from the golden god Lumps as, well, gold, I can make this commitment to an album that even recommends that I don't listen to the whole thing. Fuck you, album, it's happening.

Ah shit, is it my turn? Sorry. I feel like I shouldn't be allowed because I will never in my life listen to that Mars Volta album. If people want my two cents anyway, I'll hammer something out. Might throw you a curveball, though, cuz everyone in the world has heard Stop Making Sense.

That live Volta ain't so bad.
At this point it's almost blacksmile's week, but this shit ain't official or nothin'. I might just throw a couple in at random myself because I can think of like 18 underrated live albums.

Even if you don't listen to the Volta album I would still like to see your choice man! I don't get offended easy at all (i know you aren't worried about that but just for the record). Skip the Volta and do your turn

I'll totally do it. Most likely tomorrow morning, if that's cool. If I overlap with somebody else's week... Well, I reckon this crazy ol' world will go on spinnin'.
