I think that the lineup is actually pretty fucking awesome (especially compared to Coachella's Kanye/KOL garbage)...sure most of us have seen these bands before but at least they are a good batch of performers and will not disappoint. The mid tier is unbelievable and I can't believe that GBV, Archers of Loaf, DFA1979 are playing. Not too mention Surfer Blood, The Thermals, The Bronx, Sharon Jones and Smith Westerns...fantastic. That being said, I will not be in attendance this year as we have a new baby in the family...so I raise a tall boy of PBR to those of you that are going. Enjoy the weekend and have a great time!!!! Note to new posters: This is what you should be doing. Thanks I8!

Aw man... this line up looks great again. I wish I could make it out there and hang with all you guys again but some stupid friend of my wife had to get married this weekend. Blah blah blah. Who the fuck gets married on a holiday weekend!? Fun killers... that's who!
Have fun everyone and like blacksmile, I'll crack a beer that week in honor of all of you in attendence!

The biggest problem with this lineup for me is the headliners are not headline bands. Death Cab and Mouse would never get top billing at Lolla or any other major fest. We've been robbed.

Death cab actually headlined Lolla in 2006. www.lollapalooza.com/capsule/2006_lineup.phpI was there... didn't really enjoy it that much as the sound sucked and wished I would have watched Ween instead BUT they did headline that festival. Modest mouse is good. Not really understanding why people aren't really happy about this.

I'm still pissed I missed last year's perfect lineup.

Apart from the Flips, how many overlaps are there from Primavera? Seems to be EXTREMELY low numbers.

Good point. That said, the undercard is pretty freakin' awesome. I highly suggest Twin Shadow as I just saw them a few weeks ago in Chicago and they put on one hell of a show.

I'll be honest. I've seen all the headliners before (except Wilco), at main or submainstage spots even. But I've also seen all of Cochella's headliners in similar positions (that I care to, I can't stand Kanye) - let's not forget that KOL (not that yall were clammoring for em) did this before, Arcade Fire subbed for Bjork, etc.
Also, HG, hate to disappoint, but unless they've drastically changed since they headlined Bumbershoot, MM is not gonna be playing a set you'll like.

(I really regret staying for that set instead of going to go see Metric)

I saw Modest Mouse two days before they played Bumbershoot. They played a show in Spokane at the Knitting Factory which holds ~1500 people and they killed it.
